Smoke Screen Is Over-Powerd Due To The Fact You Only Need 26-32 Tech To Have Like -42 Dex Points (On Level 7 Smoke).
26-32 Is The Normal Ammount Of Tech Most People Have. And 12-15 Is The Normal Support People Have. So On A Level 5 Focus Build People With Smoke Screen Will Do About -42 Dex On Level 7. While Imdimidate And Malf Will Only Do Around -36 Points On A Level 5 Focus Build.
I Dont At All Think This Is Fair For The Other Classes On Level 5 Focus Builds As People Will Have More Defence (Tech And Dex) Than Support On A Level 5 Focus Build!

This was never a problem until other classes were nerfed

26-32 Tech? You mean Res, right? If you do mean Tech then it's nothing more but a false statement - my BH has 51 Tech and it takes away -31 Dex at Lvl 7.
If Res, then there is no issue - 86 Tech is high, so the power is understandable. If you want to negate it, use high Support and Reflex or Matrix, or Assault Bot. Either works well.

Next up, Malf and Smoke are equal. Malf was recently nerfed down to match Smoke since Res and Def scale the same. Comparing it to Intimidate doesn't work because Malf + Smoke are offensive debuffs whilst Intimdate is a defensive one (lower damage intake).

Nothing OPed here. My BM has Lvl 7 Reflex & 60 Support, and I get +45 Dex from it for not too high EP cost (18). This usually negates Smoke very well, and I get small boost for myself (the difference between both).

Yes but most people either have 25-30 tech or 26-32 on bounty hunter and most people have 10-12 support or 12-15 on a level 5 focus build so its unfair

And problem in that is? Train Support to buff Matrix/Reflex, simple as. If you don't choose to then rely on Assault Bot to fill in the gap. If you don't pick that one either, we will assume you have some sort of back up. If not, then that's a flaw in your build.

The problem is blocks are more severe than deflects and scale at 2.5 dex points per 1%, whereas deflects are less of an impact in most cases and scale slowly. Therefore, smoke is far stronger. It also scales with a defensive stat making it easier to strengthen compared to malfunction, and it costs 1 energy less.

I agree with this.

However not with this:

This depends on the build your using, if you use a support build its way easier to strenghten it.
If you use a tank build its easier with smoke.
Which makes this invalid since it all depends on the build

TMs and CHs got 1 more base energy point then BHs which makes this actually equal and not a difference.
It would be unfair if smoke also costed 32 energy.

@Blitzex: TMs and CHs get more energy because they have less health, so I wouldn't necessarily address that as a viable reason. I guess CHs and TMs CAN regenerate energy though, so I'll give them that.

@Blitzex: Really? I haven't created a new character since Omega came, but I was under the influence that all classes' base HP + EP were the same amount after adding them.

Malf can be abused way easier than smoke.

Malf and aux both improve when you use support abuse.

As for smoke? only a few bounty skills scale with tech, and non of them are damage.

Malf and Aux? Yeah, Energy combo. Smoke + Aux can also work, just use Physical Aux. Difference is deflections and blocks, since Tech and Dex affect respectable ones.

Support builds can also use defence, especially since Mercs have it better with sheer Support abuse and forgoing defences (HA helps a little).

I have no problem if I get smoked, I don't even use a sheild! IMO smoke is fine unless it is being abused.

emp grenade increases with technology.
and so does bot damage.

also if one is making a focus build then its easier to abuse tech than support as suppor scales slowly.
morever since they nerfed malf sometime back., people do feel that smoke is op ( add to it blood lust and shadow arts).

Smoke Screen. Can that changes this way. No effect skills, No effect stat points but only effect defence. Take out only pure defence.

@santonik if Smokescreen is changed and take down Pure defense, need to take more defense down because loss their side Effects (low Block Chance, and the effectivity from some skills)

Yep, that's right. It's the reason why Shields grant such high boost to Def/Res - because they don't give you effects that stat boosters give.
