Have the ability to use your own pictures or art as your factions flag at a cost of 100 varium or 10,000 credits.

I could see some bad pictures being uploaded with this feature...

I can see massive abuse of adult pictures already.. Not mentioning it'd have to uploaded to the server and everyone would have to download more data for these pictures. Not supported, obviously.

They could make it so that it needs to be verified by a Administrator before it is put in and any "bad pictures" gets you perma-banned from the feature.

And you know how time consuming that'd be if people did this on daily basis + more players in the future & more factions? They may just expand on the Flag Creation system at some point and add more customization, this would be too much.

Then make it the same cost as name changes. (900 varium or 50,000 credits) It wouldn't be more abuse-able then the name change i have seen loads of names that where craftily bad or rude.
If you think that verified by a Administrator" is to time consuming make players able to flag the faction for "inappropriate flags" like you can flag players for inappropriate name.
That way it counters being to time consuming and people changing flags to often as 10,000 varium would only be 11 changes so knock your socks of with multi changes.[;)] (it will only waste $49.95)

Ok, and what if that picture is inappropriate? What if it's religious (Nazi symbol may offend MANY players). What happens then? Do the players get a refund? If they don't isn't that technically stealing, since you're taking things from them without any reward (Pixels count as a reward). What if something seems appropriate but it's not? How would pictures be categorized as "Appropriate" and "Inappropriate"?

This is just too much work...I think maybe if people submit designs to the ED team, and they looked over it, maybe once a month, and added these designs in for all players to CHOOSE FROM, that'd be a better idea.

Fair point

This idea is a very nice idea and one we would love to do, however the main issue is, as noted above, any freedom naturally triggers immature people uploading immature things. This means we cannot allow people to draw their own symbols nor upload one, because in the end, there will be so many rude ones being done, it would be very hard to deal with. Not only this, but Moderators are already very busy and volunteer their own time to Moderate the game and keep it safe for everyone. If we introduced this feature and have Moderators verify every single image... Well, they'd be on all day almost everyday just doing that and it just would not be fair on them.

Not only that, but there is also some legal infringement with it since we do not own the images, if people are paying us so they can use picture that other people have copy-rights on, then that'd begin to spark a bit of trouble! All-in-all, there are so many problems with the idea, mostly down to the fact that you will always have immature people in life who like to ruin things for others, usually they are the first to complain when something goes wrong for them, which is very ironic! liy010 also raises some good points, since opinion is key.

Due to all this, it sadly is not something we can even consider introducing, most we can do is try to add more images regularly - locking this up!
