Following the balance changes, Assimilation has become too strong. It strikes for 85% and steals a sizable amount of energy points from an opponent. Even Static Charge, at its height before all of the nerfs, was far less powerful than Assimilation is now.

Only class that assimulation is avaivable is Tech Mage and i tried many builds with assimulate and they failed only thing tht works is 5 foucus.
So it is fine.

I don't think you've tried that hard
Kackota Blancka (I think that's how you spell it) has a build that I have yet to beat which utilizes Assimilation very well

I have a tank tech mage build that uses assimilate in a good way. I never have an empty energy bar in a fight and I have like a 3:1 win ratio. I only lose when my opponents crit.
