Only when I'm out of credits because I spend all my credits on cores, but otherwise I rarely do. I mostly just spend var on class change because it's the best exchange.

i use varium for normal weps, i just de-grade the items to lvl 0 and buy them for an insanely low price.
i can always upgrade them with creds later. im mostly buying them for the rarity now [:D]

Pretty much as above, buy base with Varium and upgrade with Credits. Why? It's cheaper to buy it that way and use Credits on Cores rather than buy with Credits, upgrade with Varium and get the Cores with Varium.
