Sir Arceon -> (AQ) What AQ Means to Me (4/3/2013 17:57:13)

Three years ago, I made a friend in school. He got on the computer and started playing this cool game I became interested in. I asked him about it, and he told me all the things I needed to do to set up an account. Originally, I was worried, because I didn't have an e-mail address. But then I noticed that I could leave the box blank. I was relieved. Here was a fun new game I could play. The last thing I expected was to enter an entirely new world.

My first days in Adventure Quest started out simple. Find a new quest, lose, get new items, eventually win... be jealous of the Guardians because they got all the cool stuff. But much later, I learned that it was much more than that. It was literally millions of players, all over the world, communicating with one another through the forums. I created an account, and my world suddenly opened up to an entirely new level of online gaming. I was able to make many new friends through the forums, and though I did get into trouble many many times, I did learn the rules and now I follow them to the letter. Since then, I've been able to discuss things I enjoy, learn tips and tricks, read inspiring stories, and even write a couple myself. I was able to make great friends, and even help them with things on occasion. It's been one of the greatest experiences I've had so far in life.

But back to the game itself. It was great learning all the different things I could do! Classes, Houses, the LTS, the Guardian Tower... no other game I've played compares, save the other Artix games. And the storylines? Absolutely incredible! I loved hearing and even being part of such stories as that of the Treaty between the Dracomancers and Dragonslayers, the rising of Carnax, the coming of The'Galin the Devourer, learning the history of them and other great villians, and one of my personal favorites, the Tenth Anniversary Event, where I was able to become a part of six of the game's greatest legacies in history.

To put this simply, Adventure Quest is much more than just an awesome online RPG. It's a whole new world, and a fantastic new way to have fun with your friends and family.

That's what Adventure Quest means to me. But, since I have JUST NOW LEARNED the contest is over, and this now has absolutely no value whatsoever, I guess I just told you all this for nothing. I wasn't even really done yet.
