Fix Build Creativity.
All it is 5 Focus builds so try to add some more creativity?

-Increase multi target skills to 100% should bring more ppl to use them.
-A tweak to Diminishing should bring more builds to use Str and Support. However, on this one, BloodLust needs to be nerfed a little. Maybe 3~5%.

-Maybe even a change to how Focus grants Bot damage.

Honestly I was one of those who used a Focus build (4 and 5 switching back and forth) almost for the whole duration of Omega.

I got EXTREMELY bored with it and changed to a multi build, which you know, multi skills deal 85% damage on 2 targets, nerfed them to a point where hardly any1 uses them. Then diminishing takes place so extreme that hardly Str and Support builds can survive, except for BM and BH. They're working pretty well now. Therefore, a change to Diminishing results in a bit more Str/Sup, whereas I suggest BloodLust get lowered 3~5% to keep its balance.

Yeah, I personally agree that there are too many 5 focus builds! Maybe the improve with technology could be removed as bot have two methods of improvement. They improve with focus and improve with technology... Bit over the top at the moment!

I actually think the best way to reduce 5 focus is to put in a new core that can disable or reduce damage output of the bots, everything else can be disabled or reduced in effectiveness except robots!

edit: robots can be reduced in effectiveness, with malfunction... So just some classes can reduce power!

Make bot damage improve by +5 every focus level and slow down scaling.

I am absolutely bored of EpicDuel's 1v1 battles. All I see is either 5 focus builds or some weird support build.

This new thing of making the Weapons not require stat points made it more easier to copy builds rather than make it more creative.

The excessive use of 5 Focus is making this game Epic 5 Focus, not epic duel.

I said it before and I will say it again. Ever try to make a focus 5 build at the lower levels? Oh wait you can't because you don't have enough stats to make focus 5 not at least until you are level 26. Plus even at level 26 focus 5 still takes a beating from what everyone calls creative builds.

I have tried focus builds at lower levels and I will tell you I get clobbered by the other builds from dex TM/BM Support Merc/ Strength Merc, Caster TM Etc.

So sure focus can work at the higher levels however it doesn't work well at the lower levels.

the problem with robots is that they can do burstskill -like damage and it costs nothing.

I would give robots strike-like damage(non-abuse) and it can't improve with stats.

Any other stat except focus got the nerfs, that's why the game is full of them. Focus is next on the list.

@Darkwing But What Stat?
Technology: Caster Techmages Now with another fountain of damage, and Surgical strike TLM everywhere.
Support: Glass Cannons now with Robot.
Str: Great Str Abuser with IA or yeti GG.
Dex: OneStat that Cant be Abused so much but, Dexterity Techmages or Dexterity BH or CH.

Its Impossible to assing some Stat without Making OP one Build.

he is talking about just giving robots a fixed amount of damage they can do, and it doesn't improve with any stat.

2-3 focus is enough to do hard damage at low levels

So really it becomes useful at like level 10

At low levels focus loses to every other build due to low defenses, and the high damage output they can deal. I know this because I used a focus build at these levels and my clock got cleaned every time but dex/tech spamming mages, strength/support merc's and even dex/tech bounty hunters. Plus at low levels unless you spend a lot of time grinding for credits on NPC for a robot then focus isn't all that useful.

@Mother I'm technically talking about level 35 balance since all it is focus. Low levels dont even know what the forums are so how are they supposed to be able to complain about "their balance".
And im talking about getting rid of just everyone using 5 focus at the high levels not the focus at low levels.

Please low levels know about it forums. Have you ever seen all the juggernaut complaint threads in the past? They were made by players who aren't cap level because they are the one's going against the Juggernauts.

But on another note why do you think all the other builds were nerfed in the first place? People complained about them, the staff saw that they were too powerful, and boom they were nerfed. Problem with half of the nerfs and buffs were that with the buffs they were overshot The support buff during the yeti tournament is a good example of this.

Luckily Rabberforth will make adjustments to the other strengths so players would stop complaining about Focus builds.

Now people are complaining about focus is because of the mass usage? That's not a balance reason, it's a unnecessary complaint to the only build that was balanced.

The only way to fix the problem of mass focus is to buff basically the skills that usually stat abusers would go for so unique builds can be created without the worry of it being too OP.

When buffs do come they always tend to overshoot. Look at the buff to support during the yeti tourney for example. For that entire week everyone jumped to support builds since it was vastly OP due to the going first formula. Then look at the buff they gave bloodlust after that. They even admitted they overshot that buff. The same could be said with the assimilation buff.

But on another note I doubt even with those buffs unless they nerf focus builds with it will the masses be happy.

or the plasma armor for cyber hunters.

they get themselves deeper and deeper when they overdo things.

like giving plasma armor to CH, then they wouldn't take it away and they chose another "fix" which only made it worse.

Well that's understandable and I am open minded to suggestions, but the complaints to focus won't stop unless some changes to certain skills are to accommodate to certain stats.

I would hate if the ED team did something to Focus because I'm hoping to that bots won't be rendered useless.

because of player complaints, balance changes are usually nerf, nerf, nerf, nerf, nerf.

they should try buffing the other stats before nerfing before.
focus is "OP" because the other builds are useless (excluding a special few)

the problem is if they buff it in a way that doesn't make the class OP.

caster tech mage is a very good option right now, but thats all it has.
they need a way to buff its other build types, without buffing the caster tech mage. otherwise it becomes "OP"
