Why isn't there a DF suggestion thread here on this forum anymore? Can anyone tell me why it was removed?

The DF Suggestion thread was removed because the staff didn't have enough time to read through all the suggestions. ( there were a LOT :P )
Instead they will put up a contest thread in the GD when they feel like they need a certain item or quest :)

Also, was this an issue that was mostly prevalent in DFS, or might it be expected for the other boards to do the same regarding content (non-item) suggestions?

Your first question is probably better asked in the DragonFable Q&A.

To answer your second question: As far as I know, there are no plans to make changes to any other boards at this time. That is of course always subject to change.
