No, equipment damage comes from level.
Also, remember that energy cost also increases when using multis on two people, so that's another reason that it makes it even more difficult to balance. Multis definitely should not be treated the same way as this because there are so many extra factors, but i doubt that anybody on these forums actually cares about that.

Depends on a persons perspective.
My definition of equipment damage is the raw damage it should do.
Like mine:
11-14 +35 = 46-49 damage
Which makes the stat Strength an improvement stat.
Your definition of equipment damage is probably the flat 35 damage.

The problem of spreadfire lies within the strength, not within the flat 35 weapon damage.
As of the weapon damage would only deal 35*0.85= 30 which is 3 damage against the average defence/resistance atm.
IF you take strength with it, it would already deal 46-49*0,85 = 40-42 damage which is already 15-17 damage on the average defence/resistance.
Which makes the stat improvement still the issue with this multi, not the 35 flat damage.

And of course, energy cost plays a roll in this issue, but at the end, the damage causes the problem.
If mass only dealt 100% on max it would be considered UP (with same energy cost) due to the low damage.
If mass dealt 100% on max with lowered energy it could be considered OP, so yes i can agree with you on this part.

Equipment (weapon) damage just means the damage bonus given by a Primary, Sidearm, or Auxiliary. Which, is only calculated by the level.

Bots are OP plain and simple.


when they 1st came out they were at a +5 focus 35 damage

(Focus was at 7 and not 6 like it is now) and bots never hit like this


not i am seeing Bots that are 20-25+12+30

the bot it self is a 42, not counting the damage from Tech. that is 2 OP Bots should lose the Base damage. it was fair that way.

All I see in this topic is scratching of tongues. It's like you people are going over the same thing OVER AND OVER again. Hats off to Xendran who's the only one to actually say something constructive and on-topic. Please go play the game and come back when you can actually present numbers, rather than statements of what's over powered and what's not. Until then, study your math lessons at school, they are helpful ! :)

With 101 tech, level 9 bunker, and 16-20+15+30 bot (Omega yeti + Omega yeti charge passive primary), Yeti and Bunker do about the same damage w/o crits.

IA is OP in my opinion. Even on a focus 3 build it can still do 30-40 on an opponent who has okay resistance. Not to mention that it's energy attack's damage increases 5% each turn. It's basically used as an extremely effective finishing move!

Even if you use a resistance boosting skill the IA can also do physical damage! My physical bunny bot only does 10-20 physical damage at 3 focus against a medium defence build. I regret not buying the IA now. Its just too strong compared to other robots!

Also even if poison spores do effective poison damage that damage is still spread out over a few turns and it can be cured with heal.

IA is Superior to all the other bots damage-wise (Gamma is arguable) and it is supposed to be that way.

It is just an normal attack special that can be deflected. If you want to give it an energy cost, you might as well give strike one too.
