From Now On:


Sunday has swung around the door,
And the same old things are
Bothering me like before.
The week's stretched out so far.

Thursday has crept up to me again.
I'm thinking that I'm free,
But I'm a fool to believe when
I know that I am to be a detainee.

Monday slipped through the dark,
But the same old thoughts
Are what ignite the spark
For my endless trouble spots.

Wednesday raised my hope,
But I'll likely fail yet again,
To do more than try to cope.
Oh, why did I wear the chain?

Saturday has felled me,
And my heart was torn asunder.
Will I come to see
This problem is caused by my blunder?

Today is not like the other days,
For I'm out to succeed and not
Make the mistake of yesterday.
I won't let my love for her rot.

Friday has come around again,
And I'm wishing for a dream.
I don't want my efforts to be vain,
But is this something that I can redeem?

Tuesday is back for more,
Yet I'm feeling blessed.
I don't want it to pour,
For I got my request.

I'm Feeling Alright:


I do believe,
And I don't know if I'm right.
It feels like a relieve,
As I think I'm feeling alright.

Don't be so sad,
It's going to be fine.
It won't be so bad,
So don't make me a shrine.

I'm going to be late,
But it's not even night.
I'm without my date,
So I'm not feeling alright.

I'm lost in the street,
And I call for her to help.
I don't want to admit defeat,
But it was useless even to yelp.

I see a flicker in a far-off light,
And I spot a glimmer of her.
Now I'm feeling alright,
And I rush to the company I prefer.

We go with great flight,
And I can say we believe
That we're feeling alright.
We're still going to leave.

It's Just a Normal Day:


Another died today,
Same as yesterday,
Is what I barely heard,
And I solemnly conferred
It's just a normal day.
News was on the way.
The people stirred,
But my vision was blurred.
They scrambled like prey,
Yes, it's just a normal day.

Word came by yesterday,
So everyone was gone by today.
I was alone undeterred,
Oh, I was just a rare bird.
It's always been this way,
So it's just a normal day.
The pain, it transferred,
And to me, it was deferred.
I'm a man made of clay,
Yet it's just a normal day.

In My Mind


Oh, the world was a wondrous place,
And I was with her dreamy face.
The minutes tick as they race,
Yet we still danced with such grace.
I was unknown to that I was blind,
And this all transpired in my mind.
I had wanted to stay behind,
But I knew that I would be declined.

Reality was what I wanted to replace,
But I didn't know that I should brace
For the world is what I must embrace.
My deed is something that I can't erase.
The stars were anything but aligned,
And my hopes and dreams were confined.
Don't think that I'm very well inclined
To intently want to harm any of mankind.

Knight:


Long over the horizon sits
A lone and depressed knight.
Yonder the enemy took flight,
Yet the warrior disdained the fight.
He was wondering what if he quits,
For he was pondering if fighting is right.

Over the rolling hills and grass,
Hosted was a knight from the fright.
The peasants stood in their plight,
Unknown to the terrible delight.
Well, who will be the last
To fall from their own might?

Stars:


Well, I look out at the stars,
But I don't care what they are.
They're glistening in the night;
They bless us with beauteous light.
I can gaze at them from afar,
And they're something we can't mar.

The stars brightly blaze with my song,
And they're shining awfully strong.
It's the language of my confusing soul,
And they're why I don't mind the cold.
They're something that we can't wrong,
And they're what I really wanted all along.

Don't let there be a shadow of doubt,
For there's no need, the stars are devout.
Though your heart may be out of tune,
The stars will show you your way soon.
They'll lead me to my true route,
So I won't be lost when love begins to sprout.
