Every player's build should be hidden for others to think . Some of players are just copying builds . :D

Ranloth -> RE: Build's Privacy (4/17/2013 19:48:54)

Devs have already said this will not be happening.

GodFromSouthEast -> RE: Build's Privacy (4/17/2013 22:33:23)

why ? [:'(]

Mother1 -> RE: Build's Privacy (4/18/2013 0:58:56)

two reasons

1 doing this would make battles 100% blind meaning you won't be know what to counter until it is too late which many people don't want

2 The staff also did this so those people who couldn't find builds to use could copy someone else's working build.

goldslayer1 -> RE: Build's Privacy (4/18/2013 5:15:11)

i have suggested this before because of build copying.
and they said it wouldn't be done because newbs wouldn't be able to find builds.

and people wouldn't be able to tell which def/res is weaker, skills, etc.

although its probably harder now to tell builds since almost all of them use base EP which covers up a max ultimate (thats ridiculous)

although in a way, ur still blinded when it comes to cores. so this excuse is a little overused.

Unless you're a BH or copying some build that depends on luck, this really shouldn't be an issue. This is because if people copy your build they don't know how to use it, and when they fight a smart, intellectual, and skilled player they're gonna die unless they're saved by luck. Also, if the person is skilled and copies your build, their skill should just prove that they can make their own good builds so it wouldn't really matter if an already strong player copies your build. Weak players who do so can't use the build right and lose fights.

Main point is, builds aren't the only way of determining one's skill in ED, there's also the player's strategy, skill, and just in general, play style.

FishNoobCrack -> RE: Build's Privacy (4/19/2013 0:42:10)

You can find out their build gradually, like say you had
13-16 +35 weapon damage, that = 49-51 damage.
You strike your opponent for 24 damage, in which you do the math, and then calculate that your opponent's defense, which would be in the 20-25 zone.

But either way, not supported.
