jzozezjzozez -> The goals of Epicduel. (4/19/2013 21:22:45)

I want to hear from a mod how they see ED in 5 years, or a dev and their plans for Epicduel in 5 years. I want to know what they are trying to accomplish , and what were your goals when you made this game? Once I know this I can know if ED is going in right direction or if the devs should move on. The devs will know this too .

LatinLover/Martini -> RE: The goals of Epicduel. (4/19/2013 21:41:10)

They are still in testing phases, they have no idea. Plus, a moderators job is to keep order, not to design new weapons for the game. They can help out yes, but the future of the game is still in question they havent been out of testing or nor even close just like any great game.

RabbleFroth -> RE: The goals of Epicduel. (4/19/2013 22:29:01)

5 years is an extremely tall order!

We generally have a rough plan for about 6 months out or so. Anything further than that is a bit too volatile to predict, especially given this industry.

@LatinLover, I'm not sure how this rumor propagated, but the game isn't in an explicit test phase. It's under constant development, but it is fully live game. :)

Angels Holocaust -> RE: The goals of Epicduel. (4/19/2013 22:48:44)

In 5 years this game will be in the same place as it is now. Actually, I take that back. In 5 years there will be less players, more regulations, more expensive gear and more dissatisfied players.

LatinLover/Martini -> RE: The goals of Epicduel. (4/19/2013 22:48:46)

haha sorry about that!!!! I thought these were testing phases.

RabbleFroth -> RE: The goals of Epicduel. (4/19/2013 22:54:30)

Nope, just a fun naming convention for the various phases of the game!

midnight santa -> RE: The goals of Epicduel. (4/19/2013 23:55:38)

What do you mean exactly by more regulations?

More expensive gear? Yeah, credit-wise especially? But I thought you actively (well, at least before you went all but inactive) bought Varium. And you never complained about the old promo prices (20k Credits and 1.5k Varium)?
Tbh, I think that you shouldn't be complaining about pricing in Omega, unless if you are an F2P player, which you are not.

The X Factor -> RE: The goals of Epicduel. (4/20/2013 11:57:24)

I only started playing ed 2 months before the launch of omega. And seriously i dont know why you guys are dissatisfied IMO this is the best pvp game ever.Im addicted.[:D].And id play this until the end of time[;)]

jzozezjzozez -> RE: The goals of Epicduel. (4/20/2013 15:07:30)

Game is highly addictive. Till you run out of money . Thanks rabble for the response, but idk, I feel alot of players are unsatisfied with the game... How do you plan on making more people happy? Players have been decreasing...

Ranloth -> RE: The goals of Epicduel. (4/20/2013 15:13:51)

That is wrong. And Devs know it since they have the data, which - unfortunatelly - cannot be shared as per business stuff. And money? Lolwut. Many players don't pay, and find it fun. Much better than before since they can compete. With recent change to blocks, Azrael's Will isn't as deadly (example).

jzozezjzozez -> RE: The goals of Epicduel. (4/20/2013 15:25:18)

Trans you haven't read my other stuff.., its too complicated to type here again... But I did save this little thing I typed so ill post here.
" Ok I probably should mention this. EPIC DUEL IS A GOOD, EASY TO LEARN, CASUAL GOOD GAME, GOOD GRAPHICS, SIMPLE BATTLE SYSTEM, KID FRIENDLY, AND CAN BE USED TO PASS TIME WHILE DOING OTHER WORK. BUT, game isn't worth spending money on. It isn't worth spending hours after hours on. It's made to be as a casual game. So I'm glad tons of people are quiting now, So it can be a casual game again and eventually, Die."

Ok if devs change it won't die but never mind that.

I wanna hear specific goals plz on how u going to improve game. Do you think you guys could go into a testing server and remove all luck and see how the battles go? That would be nice... What do you think devs?

Sageofpeace -> RE: The goals of Epicduel. (4/21/2013 8:32:02)

i wonder if the game gonna last that long, buying varuim mean nothing

ReconnaisX -> RE: The goals of Epicduel. (4/21/2013 11:21:38)

Since this seems to be going in the direction of pricing, I'll share some of my thoughts from when Omega was released.

Before Omega, Varium weapons cost Varium (obviously) and less Credits than Credit-only weapons at the same level.
Example:
Varium Weapon- 12k Credits, 995 Varium
Non-varium Weapon (Credit-only)- 14-15k Credits

Non-varium weapons ranged from a little to a lot weaker than their Varium counterparts, but I didn't really mind, because my strategy made up for that.

So now it's Omega, and stuff only costs Credits or Varium. No combination of the two possible.
If you're buying something with Varium, it would cost no Credits but cost more Varium than its pre-Omega counterpart had.
If you're buying something with Credits, it would cost no Varium but about 10,000 more Credits than its pre-Omega counterpart had.

Basically, everything inflated when Omega was released.

But in five years, I believe ED will still be active.

Midnightsoul -> RE: The goals of Epicduel. (4/21/2013 14:22:02)

Some of you are very rude and especially the fact even Rabble was here to reply to this. This just shows you guys are purposely wanting Rabble to see that and for that, I have no respect for you. ED is a decent game, it may not be the best and needs improvement, but you're still here posting trash, it's uneccessary and it's a shame that you can't learn to leave alone something you don't like. Only someone THAT immature would do that and I don't see how you're helping, especially how I see it during society in real life where there's those useless complainers sitting in the corner all day with nothing to do but make others feel the negative way that you do.

As for EpicDuel in 5 years...
I expect a good amount of features changed, not a ton because of its small team, but I would like to see at least 3 servers full by the time EpicDuel can progress.

kosmo -> RE: The goals of Epicduel. (4/21/2013 15:08:25)

midnightsoul.
i totally agree whit evry single word u said.
if u hate this game, just leave it, im sure anyone would miss u that much...

Stabilis -> RE: The goals of Epicduel. (4/21/2013 15:46:05)

Not sure about you guys but pricing is less expensive or plain decent aside from a few features like cores (I will hammer this topic until it changes to improve) in terms of credits or varium should use a better ratio like class changes 900 varium to 45000 credits.
