Now Blockable attacks can deal 85% of damage, but strike skills with side effects like assimilation, now had unblockable effects, now you can block the attack but they can steal your energy, make the effect blockable or at least 85% of the effect got blocked.

Mother1 -> RE: Assimilation (4/19/2013 23:01:37)

If they do that to assimilation then static has to have it as well.

ale6300 -> RE: Assimilation (4/19/2013 23:05:23)

Do this to all skills Like Frenzy and SC, the strike need to do some damage, without side effects, or at least 85% from side effects blocked.

Ranloth -> RE: Assimilation (4/19/2013 23:06:37)

Wrong. Assimilation's effect does NOT stack with blocks, so damage goes through but the EP drain does not. Already confirmed it with Rabble earlier:
quote:

[03:17:41] <Trans> *pokes Rabble for the last time ;-;* Reduction on blocks does not stack with Assimilation, right? So if it's blocked, 15% damage goes through and EP drain doesn't?
[03:21:15] <~RabbleFroth> The drain should work as normal

If it's otherwise, report it as a bug.

@trans
and someone blocked my assimilation damage, but not the effect
lawl

ale6300 -> RE: Assimilation (4/19/2013 23:21:06)

A players that used static charge on me got blocked and they got 1 Energy (1 Energy dont are dangerous) but 19 Ep For Assimilation are another story.

Mother1 -> RE: Assimilation (4/19/2013 23:25:34)

@ ale6300

depending on the situation yes it can be. 1 energy can mean the difference between using a heal or dying the next turn. Every single move depending on the duel can be fatal.

ale6300 -> RE: Assimilation (4/19/2013 23:31:54)

@mother1 yes it can be dangerous when 1 EP give suficient energy for a field medic or malfunction, but 19 EP points can be dangerous anytime.

Mother1 -> RE: Assimilation (4/19/2013 23:47:18)

@ ale63000

Not if 19 energy isn't enough to use whatever skill you need to use, you get finished off before you can use it, or if the skill you need to use if for doesn't get off cool down before you parish.

But my about this is that if one move must have this why not all of them? The power of effect isn't an excuse for this in the least.

proof of block

Silver Sky Magician -> RE: Assimilation (4/19/2013 23:52:10)

@Mother1

The one downside of Assimilation was that it was unblockable. Now that downside is no more. That skill was OP even before this update, and now no one can do anything about it, save using up all your energy early and trying to kill the opponent as fast as possible. Not an easy task, with the current tanking trend.

Mother1 -> RE: Assimilation (4/20/2013 0:00:30)

@ SSM

The same could be said of frenzy, Static, and any other move that could be stopped with a block that has a secondary effect that depends on connects. That is my point.

Drangonslayer -> RE: Assimilation (4/20/2013 0:10:33)

The thing is they aren't as effective as assimilation. This only makes juggernaut mode worse for me :/ i think this needs immediate fixing.

ale6300 -> RE: Assimilation (4/20/2013 0:13:39)

@Mother1 Already say it....

The point has been repeated many times. With 15% damage, Static and Frenzy get 15% of their effectiveness in their secondary effect. Which usually translates into a laughable 1-2 HP/EP. Conversely, with 15% damage, Assimilation retains 100% of its secondary effect. That translates into a massive 19EP steal AND drain.

At any rate, the current suggestion is to let blocks nullify the effects of Static and Frenzy along with Assimilation, so I'm not sure what your point is.
