The armor gives you way too much defenses.

It's more powerful than even hybrid armor.


Geez, do you guys just think of an idea and slap it in-game?

Well, it's like the defense against Azrael.

Second, the DoT from the bot can counter a bit.

this armor effect is nothing more then hybrid armor for 2 turns with the exception of it can be weakened by azreal's torment and heart attack.

I wasn't talking about in exact number for defense I was talking about it buffs defense and resist like hybrid armor does for mercs.

It's only for 2 turns + can be nullified. I've also read that you cannot use Melee attack so it's restrictive if used at a bad time. Just attack and you'll get higher rage off it, so you should rage just after the effect wears off.

with my current build, this would give me like 9 defense and 9 resistance.
and i dont have a melee class/build. so not using melee isn't a big issue for me.

this however is very good for juggernauts.

The new armour, correct me if I'm wrong, saves a maximum of 18 damage in 1v1 and 36 in Juggernaut/2v2. That is, of course, assuming that the opponent didn't choose to shield, energy drain, attack your partner or heal, which would make the effect substantially less useful. It is, in other words, significantly less useful than Generator in 1v1 and significantly more useful in Juggernaut (if you didn't need energy in Juggernaut). The effect in 2v2 is more ambivalent.

In essence, nothing OP about it.

It takes an entire turn to cast, and shouldn't really go above 20-25 total defense and resistance together. Taking that into account, a level 3 matrix or 3 energy shield produces about the same total defense/resistance points, and costs around 13-15 energy, with the exception that you can still use melee attacks and it lasts 1 turn longer. Overall, the new armor actually seems balanced if not slightly underpowered. Keep in mind that azrael's promos seemed vastly overpowered because previous active cores on guns/auxes weren't that great, but generator is a dang handy active core.
