It isn't just assimilation that got a buff. Every move that has a secondary effect that works with melee damage got buffed since there is no way to negate damage anymore. Only difference is that Assimilation works with fixed numbers instead of percents.

To be honest as a BM it hasn't annoyed me at all to face casters. After a while they have nothing to use their MP on so they sit there stuck. Then all it takes is outlast them :P

Well I am on the side that uses assimilation, but I guess they made it this way for all the nerfs mages got in omega. Before the assimilation buff, I could only see 1 mage out of 20 that used it, and that was a lot.

The devs can roll back every regulation they implemented in this game and built it from the ground up.
