with this kind of event, i guess its only fitting that npc's should drop spores too. the drop rate is very very low, not to mention that winning a 1 vs 1 or 2v2 battle these days are really hard. it's too late to make spores 100% drop to every pvp wins because alot of players will complain. I guess the only viable remedy to have npc's drop spores. It might be 5-8 percent drop.

Some get more lucky than others. Some people have already done the Spores (40 required for achievement) on the day of the release. I'm not done yet and it's Wednesday. Besides, wars are meant to be PvP - at least the newer ones. It's a Hybrid event so it makes sense for it to be PvP.

On average, it'd take 1300ish wins.

This sounds more like an issue on your end. Winning 1v1 is most definitely not hard with a competent build, and I will assume 2v2 is not much different.

if NPCs dropped spores, then it would allow players to play the event while escaping the stress and terrible balance we have now.

We considered NPC dropping items for this event. However we ran into a few issues which prevented us to implement it into the event. While I'm not going to go into much detail on why, it all has to deal with fairness of game play for everyone.

PvP is like NPC due to 5 focus everywhere.

I am running into support strength builds far more then I am running into focus 5. Heck I have seen a good deal of support builds, and even some tanks that aren't focus as well. So I don't know about you, but I am getting me some variety.

NPC shuldn t drop purified spores, I think that npc s shuld only drop credits/mission items, it would be unfair considering that some classes (tech mage and mercenary) are way much faster then evry other class in killing npcs.Plus I dont think the drop rate is too low I already got 81.Those who deserved it and worked hard for it will get the biggest reward and not just ONLY by farming npcs like some of you where doing for wins back in delta.

at what level are u talking about?

as far as i know, all classes can 4-5 turn most level range npcs at lvl cap with a max ultimate build.
whether its surgical, massacre, or super charge.

it just takes the right build.
i had 4-5 turn wins for my focus build in delta even though tlms weren't very fast vs npcs after the smokescreen removal.

^No matter how many turns u take with other classes, with tech mage and mercenary you take less and do it easier.For example I wasn t able make a 4 turn kill to the frost demon with my bh, when its extremly easy to do it with merc.

theres no way that u cant make a 4 turn build with BH at lvl cap. thats absurd.

^Just stating facts.Obiously I can do a build that kills the frost demon at massacre turn, but it s impossible to have the support to get enought 1st turns and it s impossible to kill him on second turn with such a build.You forgot to think that the build actually shuld win.Lol

yeah, very much aware of that. But Epicduel is not PURELY pvp since we have NPC's which can be challenged. As charfade said, they even consider it but was not implemented due to some issues. I would not make any other arguments regarding these since charfade already answered me. requesting lock pls. tnx

Why shuld this be locked?It brings up some important points that could be implemented in game and the only thing Charfade told us is that they thought of npc s dropping items for the event but decided to not.goldslayer1 I ll make you another example, when I got my yeti with bh I took ages to farm pelts to evolve it, my brother, that was using tech mage, took much less.Imagine if such a disvantage was applied on spores drop, evryone would just change class to get the spores easely and noone would have done pvp for the whole event.

you still are not telling me what level you are. since your claiming tech mage is the fastest NPCer.
i did yeti pelts as tlm, and it was fine 4 turning it with a max surgical build.
4 turn is as fast as you can get at lvl 35, if your fighting a lower level monster which can be 2 turned, thats a different story.

I m lvl 35 and yes 4 turns is as fast you can get, but when using tlm, bh and bm you can t kill frost demon in 4 turns and heavy mechacillids are slower too.

Is it because of the previous Frysteland war? The only flaw to it was the super war bombs being buyable with varium making Legion players gain an unfair advantage over Exile. Remove that or make it droppable only would have solved the ENTIRE issue of the war. As for this war, if you're planning to making these spores NPC-droppable, then why not also greatly increase the spores to fill the bar to 100%? Since every player will do NPC's if that happens, then it's acceptable to increase the purified spores gap to reach 100% and should last over a month.


I also find it ironic that Bio Hazard asks for your help by COLLECTING beast spores from players rather than battle him and get the spores and vines off his body. That's like getting strangled by a snake during a trip with a friend and when you ask him for help, you tell him to find a mongoose in the forest instead of slicing the snake to pieces or by the head.

You cannot request locks on topics anymore due to others maybe wanting discussion on same issues and stuff. in my opinion i think the administrators are distructing us with this lame missions like the egg hunt or the spore hunt and thinks
for making something big or they are out of ideas :)
