In case you are poor or willing to sacrifice a portion for the sake of buying a new weapon, this feature can come in handy in moments of buying a cool new weapon over an achievement.

This has been suggested multiple times, and I think that it would help out some players, specially those that don't know how to save.

But only supported if it's like a ratio of (idea roughly):
2 tokens > 10 credits

Take example of 500 wins (2v2):

500 wins
60 credits per win roughly
= 30000 credits

500 wins
1000 tokens = 2 tokens per win
= 10000 credits / 2
= 5000 credits extra

So you get 5000 extra credits for 500 wins. Total of 35000 credits (really rough).

I'd go for a ratio of 10 tokens -> 125 credits. So if you have 100 tokens and you're poor, you can convert it to 1250 credits that easy.

No.

Increased accessibility to Credits means Credit inflation. Using 1v1 (Which, IIRC, gives the least Credits), you get 32 Credits per win (+7 per loss). Assuming 70% winrate (Which for most players isn't feasible, tbh), you end up with something like 34 Credits on average per win you get (Note: Not per battle. That would be lower, but for you only get Tokens for wins, so let's roll with that). Now, 10 tokens -> 125 Credits means an increase of 12.5 Credits per win.

Instead of ~34, you now effectively get ~46.

Now, that's an increase of ~35%. To combat the huge increase in Credits, we'd need to increase all item prices with at the appropriate rate. 10k items are now 13,5k etc. This doesn't include the fact you could then use BT boosts to increase Credit gain even more. (We do still have those right)

This is because right now, the game actually has standards for gear pricing. Increasing the Credits you get from battling means less battling is required, thus the amount of playing needed is decreased, leading into a decrease in "mandatory" playing.

No, just because it's not a mandatory trade, it's not a valid reasoning to say you can't use it.

So no. Not supported as nothing would change, other than people that are not willing to spend BTs on Credits would need more farming.

King FrostLich -> RE: Converting Tokens to Credits. (5/2/2013 5:12:15)

^The fact that players have to spend on cores, class change when they want to, buy a house and decorate it, change cores if they get confused or hate it, buy cool looking weapons that obviously have the same power with ugly looking ones, enhance certain weapons, retraining, rearrange stat modifiers, get a robot etc. is REALLY a big deal in Omega. Sum up everything I said, all these can cost more than 100k credits. Weapon prices at higher levels are absurdly high-priced and NPC'ing can't recover them all even if you play for 3 weeks.

Baron Dante -> RE: Converting Tokens to Credits. (5/2/2013 5:17:47)

Yes, and that doesn't really NEED to change. A lot of that can be removed. If you want to try Cores, you take a risk. Personally, I'd just get the Cores on weapons I'm not using so I can swap around. If you want Cool looking weapons instead of worse-looking ones, well, then you simply will work for that. Looking good should not be the priority of yours.

Yes, you say they cost more than 100k Credits. If you make Credits easier than they are now, the inflation will become EVEN worse and more Credits will be needed.

I did make some 100k in two weeks though, during Golden Yeti, so even that's not much of an argument.

King FrostLich -> RE: Converting Tokens to Credits. (5/2/2013 5:26:23)

Not everyone plays like everyday which would be ridiculous if you ask me. You're also risking tokens for the sake of extra cash. Whenever seasonal achievements comes by, if you're poor then you have the option to either buy the achievement now or wait next year if you're patient enough. Not only that, if you're in a faction that needs to maintain flags then either donate or save up and of course flags are hard to maintain because of the 100 token hourly tax.
