Heh, quick shields can be too many shields from time to time. And yeah, I agree it isn't OP. While their damage is based on spells, Shatter gives you a lot of time to build up enough defence and Ice Orb is both costly and risky as it leaves you open to attacks.

ND Mallet -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/3/2013 14:19:32)

Earth will be the reigning element as soon as we get moose. }:3 You could also argue it'll happen when we get an Earth Series card pack and I customize my EF.

Mondez -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/3/2013 14:20:00)

@Bunker
Want to see worse with an Earth character. ND, has mastered the art of the Earth Fairy and those quick Stone Walls plus the low cost energy cards can be nightmarish.

Earth Series card pack

This. i want this soo much! For my beloved Earth Golem. :3

drDOT -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/3/2013 14:23:59)

I need to find some kind of "favorite character" for myself too. ;o;

Bunker -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/3/2013 14:25:35)

@Mondez: That's pretty much what I mean. Earth Walls, Mountain Strikes, Petrifies, etc. are what make Earth characters fun but tiring to fight against.

daichi -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/3/2013 14:28:43)

@drdot you should go with a light character, Like paladin!

He's the best anyway, (completely unbiased professional opinion)

Balu -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/3/2013 14:31:00)

When and IF that Rock Golem shown on the petrify cards will be released, I`ll have my second favorite char is OS.

*continues to dream of that glorious day*

ND Mallet -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/3/2013 14:31:35)

@bunker Trust me, I can spam shields faster than any Ice character and my Mountain Strikes go off in half the time with Earth Fairy. A shame I'll lose 16 levels of work when they add an evo to her eventually

necro rouge -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/3/2013 14:33:28)

@mrDOT
stay away from arcane ranger, she's mine

@below
i fail to see how life drain is an ok card. it is only decent in combination with sacrifice, but even then it is better to use two 5 attacks for better results. it needs to cost less, it is among the least cost efficient cards available, and i don't think darkness even have an energy booster.

response @below
6 might be too low, considering it is a multi purpose card. i think 7 energy + a boost to either the heal or the damage would be fair.

response to response @ below
yeah, that could work, but the point of the suggestion is really to make it less energy heavy, shadow does have some energy problems already IMO.

Mondez -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/3/2013 14:33:31)

I'm hoping Shadow characters gets a card that'll give some decent healing. Don't get me wrong, Life Drain is an okay card, but the cost of using it is too burdensome on my Abberant.

@above
With Sacrifice, yes it is decent, but overall I agree it needs to be decreased to energy level like 6 since 8 is just too much on the top.

@above response
Interesting outlook, so 7 shadow energy cost with either having a +1 to current healing or damage? It's okay though if we were to say keep the original costs then would +2 to current healing or damage be sufficient?

Andlu -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/3/2013 14:43:01)

@Dr Dot You need. They represent most of us. Like myself with Void Knight :3
EDIT:@Mondez Make it cost 8 and heal 4 points. That's really just enough to counter sacrifice 4 HP lose.

ND Mallet -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/3/2013 14:50:09)

You can't forget that part of the power behind Life Drain is the fact that Shadow decks also have Sacrifice. You can't be getting back as much health as you're spending otherwise you're getting a free attack

Andlu -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/3/2013 14:51:58)

@ND mallet Not really. I mean, look: Cost of 2 5 attack cards(10 damage)(4+4=8)
Cost of sacrifice + life drain(10 damage)(8+0=8 PLUS 1 HP)
It's really UP the way it is.

necro rouge -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/3/2013 14:52:35)

@ND mallet
that is exactly the problem. currently if you use sacrifice and life drain, you spend 8 energy +100 health. however, if you simply use normal cards, you will only use the 8 energy.

Blackshock -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/3/2013 14:53:06)

@Andlu: and my and my frostbat.

Idk, having sacrifice and lifesteal at that rate just makes em look like two heavy attacks instead.

God, net's too slow, can'tkeep up with conversation XD

Bunker -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/3/2013 14:53:35)

@ND Mallet:Is it a free attack? If Life Drain used had that affect and you used it with Sacrifice, wouldn't it be the same as using two 5 damage attacks (8 Shadow total, 10 damage)?

Shoot, I really got Ninja'd

Andlu -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/3/2013 14:54:37)

@Bunker No. Lifedrain regenerates 300 life, but sacrifice TAKES 400 life. So 8 charges +100 hp for 10 damage, which is less than only 8 charges of 2 5 attacks.

Mondez -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/3/2013 15:10:08)

Shadow relies on DoTs and Sacrifice is a great asset, but knowing full well that Life Drain takes a good chunk from your energy doesn't bode well in terms of helping your strategy.

What I meant to say is that IF Life Drain actually healed for 400, it would be a similar effect.

necro rouge -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/3/2013 15:17:16)

@mondez
sacrifice is a great card, but life drain is a just not not worth using regardless of circumstances. it's the least energy efficient card in the game atm.

bei4 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/3/2013 15:18:59)

The release is live :)

drDOT -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/3/2013 15:19:57)

Least energy efficient?
Well then let's check Water's Refresh. You pay 5 energy to lose a 5 defense card, which adds 3 energy to the cost, in order to heal for 3 HP.
So Refresh = 8energy/3HP and Life Drain = 8energy/3HP/5attack
I love Life Drain.

ND Mallet -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/3/2013 15:20:39)

Life Drain is well worth the cost. It does 500 damage and heals 300 for the cost of 8. Yes, it would be cheaper to use a 500 attack and a heal spell on a Light character but sometimes you have to pay extra to get two cards in one.

Leprechaun -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/3/2013 15:21:19)

Release is HERE! Meooooooooow!
I got four 204 cards and an Ice Wall :P
