To cut to the chase you have mages that have reroute to start with which is energy with every bit of damage they take but on top of that they have assimilation which steals/gives the same amount of energy even when the move is 'blocked'.
I simply think to make the skill more balanced it needs to be reduced on 'blocks' to stealing/giving only 1-3 energy to keep it more on par with similar moves like static charge.
It steals AND gives energy and its a high constant that can be used and not fail no matter the situation. Just adds to the already over powered-ness of mages to much in my opinion.

But at the same time it would put it out of par with EMP and make it more like atom smasher (Minus the energy gain) As far as energy drains go they aren't balanced in the least.

The only problem I have with this skill is the energy they get back...
Tech mages already have re route, what's the point of having another reroute effect which is like static charge.
It's not fair unless they take outthe energy gain the tech mages get.

I wouldn't mind them taking energy away from me but i don't like it when they get more energy from me.

To be honest, reroute is a terrible passive. Compared to hybrid armor and blood lust, it's definitely much weaker. There's less HP in Omega, and if you get hit first (especially with a hard hit or crit) then you lose lots of efficiency with reroute. You also have to prioritize healing over other skills when playing as a reroute class because you need the reroute energy from the heal to return for later use.
