Xendran -> Revised Azrael's Will Fix (5/3/2013 18:30:07)

Step 1. Give this core a warmup.

Step 2. Implement these primary passive cores

Maul: Forced Rage
Double Rage gain when forced to strike
Claws: Riposte
Pierce 15% of defence and resistance on forced strike
Staff: Counter Assimilate
Forced strikes are replaced by assimilate, if assimilate is available for use
Sword: Precise Counter
Forced strikes cannot be blocked

Step 3. Implement this armor active core

Bracer. Prevents you from being targeted by opponents for one turn. Another action may be taken at 65% power after this is activated.

Step 4. Add a new gun core that is equally powerful, to remove AW from it's current Best In Slot position.

Tranquilize: Deals no damage. 100% chance to stun. Single target, Single Use.
Tranquilize provides an alternative to Azrael's Will. AW = Skip their turn, both of you take damage. TQ = Skip their turn, neither of you take damage.

King Helios -> RE: Revised Azrael's Will Post (5/3/2013 18:38:41)

1. Good, 2 turns? Not much use on 1st turn anyway.

2. All those cores, just for one skill? This will be irrelevant when another OP gun promo comes along, so not supported.

3. Seems good.

4. Everyone will say, "Noooo, my money! I spent $50 on that gun!", which is true. Just seems like a free version of the gun.

Xendran -> RE: Revised Azrael's Will Post (5/3/2013 18:40:49)

2. It provides an alternative. Who says azrael's will is the only thing that will ever cause a Forced Strike anyway?
4. That's their problem. They still have the ability to deal tons of damage on the same turn and stack it with deadly aim, and they kept a BiS core for quite some time. People shouldn't spend $50 on something and expect it to stay (or ever be) the best. Everybody says it to founders, and it holds true with new promos as well.

Exploding Penguin -> RE: Revised Azrael's Will Post (5/4/2013 13:15:57)

Definitely supporting steps 1 and 4, a 2-turn warmup should be enough to stop abuse of the gun in 2v2 particularly. A new gun core other than energy shot which is on par with or at least better than energy shot would not only reduce the feel that azreal's will is OP (I still say it isn't except for in 2v2), but also add more cores, and who doesn't want that? Step 2 seems OK, but I can't say whether or not I support some of those cores, and whether or not they're particularly balanced.

Ranloth -> RE: Revised Azrael's Will Post (5/4/2013 13:27:29)

#1 That one is nice. 2 turn warm-up or 3 turn? Some cores do have 3 turn warm-up at the moment so I don't see 3 turn being bad - you can use Gun first and have it ready for after the warm-up.
#4 Also good. I doubt players would argue over it. First of all, that core would NOT be a basic core thus costing more than 7K Credits/495 Varium. Ones we have available to purchase are basic cores, others such as Azrael's Will will not be anywhere near basic cores. Remember, the better it is, the higher the price will be. Power comes at a price.

As of to the other two, they make good core suggestions but I wouldn't see them as being necessary to fix the gun. #1 would be best, and #4 could be done at some point in the future. Rather than all in one.

EpicIsEpic -> RE: Revised Azrael's Will Post (5/4/2013 15:35:33)

Supported!

Silver Sky Magician -> RE: Revised Azrael's Will Post (5/4/2013 23:07:03)

The varium controversy over part #4 shouldn't matter. All varium promos will be offered for a huge amount of credits one year after the promo release.

Thesoulweaver -> RE: Revised Azrael's Will Post (5/4/2013 23:50:25)

Nice Idea, supported. Not all of these cores need to be implemented though. And the warmup needs to be timed so that people just can't use it when it is at is best (read:Support Strenght Builds)
One thing though - I forsee people coming to complain how they need to waste credits/varium and a core slot (Even if the cores are not very useful ATM) just to counter one single core.

Xendran -> RE: Revised Azrael's Will Post (5/5/2013 3:34:16)

Well the idea is that eventually there will be so many cores that hard counters for single cores will be much more interesting, rather than seeming like you're forced in to it.
You might have a nice str build that isn't really bothered by Forced Strike, but is hurt by some other sort of core, etc.

Precisely why it won't happen whether i believe the gun is OP or not the only reason it will be available free next year is because it was announced before people purchased it. I highly doubt it will get a significant nerf ( although i agree its needed) because people spent money on it .

And also on a side note by the time it becomes free next year there will be way better promos that the free players can't get till the next year and so on.

That is assuming the games still here next year if the staff don't get a move on fixing faults particularly some that have been here since beta. I have serious doubts for this games future. Omega killed a lot of the old time loyal paying player base off and i haven't seen the gap filled. However I'm in danger of going on a crusade and vastly off topic here.

Short version Nice idea. Nothing significant will happen people payed.
