Thanks and I hope so too DrDOT, although I think it may be a issue on their end. Enough people have had the issue (myself, jayk, a third person I can't recall and another guy) that I'm sure now it isn't an isolated incident or my computer but rather something with the coding or graphics.

I've gotta say that Oversoul has improved quite a lot since it's release.

I sit in the category of worried about stats and elemental weakness + resistances. I am not entirely sure they will effect the game as well as many will think it will.
On the other edge of it, I am REALLY hoping we finally get a character tree that is ENTIRELY free. That was the point of the pikemen tree till Nulgath made the last form for SGs.
Heck even the Sword Victor's character tree got spoiled by making the final form of it SG. Sure you will say it's to be expected to pay for the game and one should just deal with it. But I would like to point out I am a paying player and I find this game not exactly free-player friendly.

Insane: While I agree to an extent that the game is not exactly Free Player friendly in some respects, I do want to say this:

1: While I would also like a free evo tree at one point, Nulgath has said before that almost all Legendaries will cost SG, with Masters being handled some free some not. So we were forewarned.

2: It's still more free friendly then, say AQW, since all the characters will still be there till you get SG, and only about 1 quarter of the total chars are SG, when compared to AQW whose recent releases have had a abundance of AC items that also are rare so HAVE to be brought then.

Yes that would be nice, but are the starters going to be the only free character trees? That kinda limits people's ability/wanting to play as it already is. As evolving the characters make them stronger. That kinda makes the game pay-to-win.

I wouldn't agree; just by evolving a character you don't make it stronger. Some veterans have better decks than their higher forms, e.g. Vampire Lord.

You mean pay-2-play, right? Because so far in terms of characters and cards, free players have characters just as strong as those with SGs and SGs are only used as shortcuts which doesn't make it pay-2-win.

Just to add, all cards are available to everyone so it makes up to the free player community.

Sorry, but I dislike it when players say this game is pay-2-win when the balanced between the freebies and players are the same in power. Your opinion and yes I respect it, but always have facts ready to support your claim.

No, Orc Chieftan, Ogre Mage, Cosoma, AlphaFrostzard, Poison Dragon, Big Ben, Vampire Lord, Void Incarnate, and Fiend Blade all free characters can beat Headless Horseman and it's not the character that's the problem, it's that Incinerate card that they have to fix.

If they fix Incinerate then Headless Horseman will be categorized as a high cost fire character and nothing more.

Is maxing out permanent boosts worthwhile? Or are 10 boosts enough? I might be buying 160 or 250 more SoulGems and I am contemplating whether or not they would help since I have a terrible time leveling up and farming gold.

If you want a boost in leveling and gold farming then go ahead and and max them out since I did and they help a lot more than buying 20 more temp xboosts.

That's not the point I am trying to make. The point I am trying to make is to evolve a character into it's next form is hard and impossible to fully do for free players as every chain it seems esspecially the ones that were mostly free as an example end up all with one form costing SGs to get. My favorite parts of the game have never been the PvP, heck I hate PvP in pretty much every game I've played. For me the fun is in evolving the character, trying out their cards, and hunting them. I am looking at the game objectively as I am a paying player as well. I am trying to look at "is this game actually free player friendly?" Both yes and no. If you want a legendary character that Evolves into that form through hours of work you cannot as a free player as the majority of the legendaries are apparently going to cost SGs. Yes the ones who come pre-evolved are nice and cool, but sometimes people like to work for their legendaries. The only one so far I've noticed that has a legendary form and you don't have to pay SGs to evolve is the promo founder character.

Yes, what you state is somewhat true, but of course again these evolutions are a way to help the server maintain its costs.

Sorry to break it to you, but that's how things work. Of course Nulgath again did state that to make up for the lack of evolutions were to make all cards free and available, but for now we have a simplistic version of CC which I like to name "Deck add-ons" for the moment.

Remember Nulgath forewarned that most Legendaries would be SGs, but some would be free during events and the founder indeed was free to evolve, but you still had to buy SGs to get the whole character.

I look at the things as a free player as well and I can fully see while "cool" characters are unavailable to me, the balance in my free player retrospect say it's balanced to a point since we have characters powerful enough to battle the SG evos, but still finding a character that I like to use since the free players have such a wide variety is out there.

Having to obtain Legendary rank character who have greater power require the cost in order to obtain it. As far, some of the SG evolution cost either 4 SG, 6 SG, 7 SG or even 10 SG. Nothing to complain about. Also, can anyone confirm if every characters will have legendary rank? Nulgath never seem to mention about it neither did anyone.

Yes there are a massive variety of characters to play around with. Some more fun then others course there is always picking which element you like best as well. Minotaur was one of my favorite characters, evolved it to Taurus.

All I really wanted to say is maybe they need to put in a free character tree every now and again. Or atleast stick with a character tree being free. I understand that have costs that need to be payed for, but giving to the free players every now and again in terms of making them work for a reward would be awesome. There are plenty very strong stand-alone characters like Monk who doesn't need to evolve to be strong, I am just saying that giving to free players something they have to work for might make them appreciate the game a bit more then "oh look my favorite character got an evolution!! It's sgs? D'aw and here I got all excited for nothing."

I do had that same thinking too. At most every characters will have master evolution while more than half won't have legendary evolution, i hope.

I'd rather have Legendary ranks being very rare. Like only 10-15% of the character trees should have them.

In a way, I would only like to see the legendary characters to be very special. Such as being release only on special event, occasion or even being a promo character. A few legendary characters will be a rank in character tree.
