@Andlu: Well it seems like 'fairness' and 'balance' cannot go together in this game then. You have to have one or the other and not both in this case.

Its obvious you want to be able to use all that power and using 'fairness' as justification. But it is alright, I would take the same route if I had the potential to do so. However, I value balance more :/

Andlu -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 121 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/5/2013 21:15:38)

@Jmagician There won't be anything wrong with the balance. Ice character can now have SIX ice walls, not counting tons of normal shields.
And like Mondez said, it's not like I'll draw energize and storm first turn. I also have to discard a ATTACK card to make it work anywayz...

Mondez -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 121 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/5/2013 21:16:05)

@Jmagician
So it's balanced that ice characters can have 6 Ice Walls when Shadow can't have access to 1 Energize and 1 DoT?

That creates some balance alright. [>:]

Andlu -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 121 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/5/2013 21:17:22)

@Mondez Also I won't be surprised if shadow had two of it's card "banned" from CC. Poison and MoD.
Do you think this ice pack cards will go rare? I mean, it says limited time.

Mondez -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 121 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/5/2013 21:18:44)

@Andlu
Possibly since I think Nulgath plans to rotate elements to see how things would work, but so far I have no clue. Maybe Sage and Asuka might know.

-IPad fail.

@below
My iPad has an annoying autocorrect feature that would remember words and just correct them as it pleases.

Andlu -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 121 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/5/2013 21:19:30)

@Mondez I think you mean "Asuka" xD

JJ55$ -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 121 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/5/2013 21:19:46)

It's usable, but time consuming. However, it's also super fun. Also, the strategy needed is really interesting.

Jmagician -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 121 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/5/2013 21:20:38)

Woah guys, hold it there! Hold it right there .-. Don't think I have easily forgotten about the imbalance from Ice types due to CC. You guys are barking at the wrong person because I noticed this since day 1. I didn't say anything because I know this is just a phase and Nulgath has all the plans necessary to counteract this imbalance in the future CC releases.

@below: The problem is provoking the imbalance.

Andlu -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 121 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/5/2013 21:22:14)

Still I don't see a problem having storm + Energize on Vk/Abber deck

Mondez -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 121 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/5/2013 21:22:58)

Unless they actually decide to place limits on the cards like limiting special cards like it was really supposed to work like an actual card game then I wouldn't mind if they had placed limits on Energize if it comes in the thunder energy series.

The way the limits were supposed to work was special cards like Ice Wall were to be limited to 3, but it concerns me to how players can set 5 extra Ice Walls without restraint.

Andlu -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 121 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/5/2013 21:25:32)

@Jmagician What I mean is: We can use energize and storm on shadow, but that doesn't mean we can use something like Fresh start AND renew on ice...

Jmagician -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 121 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/5/2013 21:26:59)

In any case, there is a simple solution to all this. Nulgath should just restrict certain cards to certain characters (not just types but characters) for style reasons. I mean ain't know way should Quaztk use a Fireball or any other Fire move on me in battle .-. That would make no sense.

In our case, maybe that Energize/Storm combo should be restricted to certain Shadow characters that would actually look like they would utilize Energy (maybe a mage of some sort) so that this combo wouldn't be broken by Shadow types.

@Mondez: Like I said, Nulgath has probably taken note of this limitation problem. He just wants to see how the basics of CC is fairing. Think of this release as a prototype release [:D]

@Andlu: Yes, I see your point :o

Mondez -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 121 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/5/2013 21:29:25)

@Jmagician
Wouldn't that limit the availability for card usage because if I wanted my Abberant to have Energize/Storm and I wasn't allowed then as a player I feel that it would be unfair to me because Andlu's VK has access to the element and the cards.

I support fairness and balance, but you have to work it in a way where it is both fair and balanced.

Andlu -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 121 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/5/2013 21:29:33)

@Jmagician Void Knight looks like he can cast energy things. *Win*

Jmagician -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 121 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/5/2013 21:31:09)

@Mondez: You can't expect that Abberant can take care of everything. To face Andlu's VK would need a specific counter to VK and not Abberant.

Remember, multi character dueling is going to come out soon so this unfairness you speak of won't even be a problem! [:D] Thus, fairness and balance can be restored.

@above: In the end, it is Nulgath's decision lol. Who knows, you might just get your way.

Mondez -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 121 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/5/2013 21:33:48)

@Jmagician
Good point, but overall I feel that the CC release was a bit simplistic and I know that they'll expand it later on. I feel as though there are quite a lot of holes in the system that just don't plug up correctly. I know we are testing the system, but it doesn't feel like CC, it's more of "deck addons" than full on customization.

Multi-character dueling is a +10 in my book though I would like to see it work in PVE as well though I cannot fathom to how it will work.

Andlu -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 121 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/5/2013 21:35:29)

Is it just me, or VK sword looks like it could be used by a energy character? :o

JJ55$ -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 121 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/5/2013 21:36:38)

Using Lightning + CC ice cards is fun and way easier than I thought.

Shards Superior -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 121 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/5/2013 21:40:29)

I just thought of something:
Empower doesn't use mana, so it can be used in any deck...
Or, even worse, Incinerate!

And Crush would be a better alternative to Ice Orb and Snow Orb in Ice decks.

Andlu -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 121 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/5/2013 21:42:00)

@Shards Exactly.

Agaraoth2 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 121 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/5/2013 21:43:01)

When a water type CC is out i'd probably give my Ogre Shaman 5 renew and she already has 3 so that could mean 3000 heal

Shards Superior -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 121 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/5/2013 21:44:57)

CC in this form could be very, very broken if handled incorrectly i.e., Crush, Incinerate, and maybe even that Lightning card that +200, shouldn't be able to be used.

Jmagician -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 121 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/5/2013 21:50:17)

@Mondez: I share your same thoughts.

I am very interested in what path CC turns towards in the future. Nulgath is playing a risky move with these releases because CC can make or break the game.

Yep, very interested in these developments.

Agaraoth2 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 121 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/5/2013 21:51:37)

Can someone please name all the cards that don't use energy.

Mirai Hoshino -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 121 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/5/2013 21:54:13)

@Agaraoth2

You want to add... five Refreshes?? Seriously??? But... that... oh, you must mean Renew. Ogre Shaman has three Renews, and only one Refresh. Wow, my heart skipped a few beats with that one.
