The Incredible Hulk -> RE: So.. How many of us still actually play? (5/15/2013 15:29:44)

I Quit
Blitzex quit
Hollow quit
Sr Pro quit

Game is too boring BB game, cya whenever I feel like coming back.

I guess it may be never since game gets worse every year.

EnlightenedSpirit -> RE: So.. How many of us still actually play? (5/15/2013 15:38:09)

I like to say titan ruined the game and that's why I quit.
But really..my friends left and now I'm alone when I play.
For some reason I don't want to leave though...

The Incredible Hulk -> RE: So.. How many of us still actually play? (5/15/2013 15:52:21)

^^

Cause you have no other games to play.

ED is a game where it is quick to learn n easy to understand

ReinVI -> RE: So.. How many of us still actually play? (5/15/2013 17:06:26)

I pop in during the releases but other than that? I've pretty much quit.. I want to play but I just can't enjoy the game right now. Here's what draws me to this game
the art.. whether it be by trizz or any of the others artists that seriously the only reason I play. I like the art on some of the new gear. I have pretty much been forcing myself
to play so i can obtain the botanical sword before it goes bye bye. But yeah the art is the only reason I play. Community? It's a bunch of kids that either complain when they lose
or beg you for fame. You may every now and then find a guy who you have a decent conversation with but yeah. Balance? it's horrible imo.. Poison was made useless to me thanks to
the recent 'buff' ( making it curable by heal was a mistake... ) the fact there isn't an enjoyable way to earn credits ( battle drops repeatable missions etc ) just makes fighting a chore
and takes away from the actual enjoyment of the game. This is a game I use to play for fun.. but now? It feels like more of a job to actually obtain any of the new stuff given you don't
make nearly enough credits per win and that's if you DO win. So unless your using a typical 'quick win build' which I fully am against you lose a majority of your fights. so that's even less
credit income coming to you character.

I will be keeping up to date with this game because I've played it since the beginning ( before AE took over ) but as it stands right now the game feels like it's crumbling and it's just
not fun anymore.

Stabilis -> RE: So.. How many of us still actually play? (5/15/2013 19:06:19)

^

Funny you mention the kids. I would very much make the claim that we have so many kids because EpicDuel is very easy to play.

ReinVI -> RE: So.. How many of us still actually play? (5/15/2013 22:57:22)

what I mean by child is immaturity the 'children' i'm speaking about range from 10-xx. I'm mostly talking about those people that as soon as the fight goes for a turn to the worst ( block, crit, deflect, etc etc ) they start to have a hissy fit cussing up a storm and just other wise being rude. I've seen 10 year olds that are more mature then some of the 'older' players on this game.

zer00x -> RE: So.. How many of us still actually play? (5/15/2013 23:10:55)

I dont play so much now, when i play i just get angry, because of all the luck factors and oped builds, also some other players that call you names when they get lucky or they are using and op build its way to annoying, these mediocre players and bad balance are the reasons why i dont play so much. 3 or 4 battles are enough in a day/week

Stabilis -> RE: So.. How many of us still actually play? (5/15/2013 23:45:19)

...Is anyone else interested even as an experiment for what would happen to our society if EpicDuel was more difficult to play (more strategy less "shoot'em up")?

ReinVI -> RE: So.. How many of us still actually play? (5/15/2013 23:49:52)

the game would die because the brainless masses would quit~ I'd play it though cause strategy is awesome :O

deoxy30 -> RE: So.. How many of us still actually play? (5/16/2013 0:32:45)

I got so bored of ed that I am actually quite inactive AND able to play 3 games now playing ed makes it 4. [:D]

kosmo -> RE: So.. How many of us still actually play? (5/16/2013 8:30:06)

Lol epic duel easy?Maybe it is to play, but only years of experience make you undersdand it propely. If the game is easy why some players can get much better win rates with allmost all classes?Because they try hard with strategies until they don t find the way to keep doing good, only who has knowlage will always find the way to be better than others and, in Omega, this really doesnt depend on varium, those who just payed to win now show themself for what they are: unexperienced players that now only use varium to do faster battles using cores in the cheapest way.

Noobatron x3000 -> RE: So.. How many of us still actually play? (5/16/2013 10:05:48)

quote:

hy some players can get much better win rates with almost all classes

Because balance is awful and the brainless masses won't think twice about using the OP copy and paste build for every class. If the game was balanced it would be impossible to get anything above a 60% win rate and mines way above that probably 50% inf act.

EpicIsEpic -> RE: So.. How many of us still actually play? (5/16/2013 10:57:53)

Not playing due to luck RUINING the game.
Still play in events.

Vagaran -> RE: So.. How many of us still actually play? (5/16/2013 11:10:22)

Yup, I stopped playing after seeing how the game became LuckyDuel rather than Epicduel.

Also my attention for PvP games has moved to LoL and OS, 2 games that requires skills rather than luck.

Verate -> RE: So.. How many of us still actually play? (5/16/2013 11:51:25)

It seem to me that almost everybody is notching down how much they play. I know I have since Delta, I didn't actually play the last of Gamma or the whole part of Delta at all.

EpicDuel has lost it's originality and creativity it used to have, or whatever that one thing is that made me used to get about 200 wins a day. I do not like the way EpicDuel is headed, but that is up to the Devs and I wish them luck in the future endeavors they have. I have been playing since Alpha and still somewhat enjoy the game, just needs to have something that Beta or Gamma had, it's on the tip of my tongue, I just can't say it.

Nexus... -> RE: So.. How many of us still actually play? (5/16/2013 13:51:49)

Last time I played, the game was utterly broken. I intend to keep my distance for now, as I find the game to be boring, and currently centered around niche builds and luck. Furthermore, most of my old pals no longer play. Not the game I once found mentally engaging, and full of wonderful people...not the game it used to be...

midnight santa -> RE: So.. How many of us still actually play? (5/16/2013 23:23:31)

You can't expect players to stay long in a game that does not grow. Charges premium price for a 2-D game that does not evolve. This game is an embarrassment to Artix Games.

This is exactly the truth.
Epicduel is meant to be focused around pvp, yet the pvp seems like it's the part that has the least work put in to it.

hijinks -> RE: So.. How many of us still actually play? (5/17/2013 0:42:31)

No matter how much I like ED and other AE games I have to agree with that same sentence. PvP didn't really change much since the time I joined up which was Gamma.

Dual Thrusters -> RE: So.. How many of us still actually play? (5/17/2013 0:49:52)

Is it just me, or am I the only one enjoying PvP right now O.o

Variation -> RE: So.. How many of us still actually play? (5/17/2013 0:53:22)

Nah, I'm enjoying PvP as well lol (2v2).

In terms of main pvp changes i've seen:

Good:
Auxiliaries. These were a good addition.
Bots. These were a good addition and helped take a step forward in the potential of PvP.

Good idea, bad implementation:
Juggernaut. Poorly implemented, but this was a very good step forward for the evolution of PvP. Until it seemingly got given up on because of how imbalanced it is.
New classes.
New skills.
Cores. These are essentially just an extension of the bot system.

Bad:
Enhancements. Not truly new, just an extension on the already existing stat system
Agility. Not a good addition, was removed for a reason.
Focus. Just a glorified and poorly scaled version of "Bot damage = lowest stat"

Angels Holocaust -> RE: So.. How many of us still actually play? (5/17/2013 2:06:58)

Hiding our skill trees would help move this game forward. Why are we rewarding lazy players who want to put 0 effort into playing this game. Who in their right mind would disclose their entire build to the enemy in the middle of battle? It doesn't make much sense.

kosmo -> RE: So.. How many of us still actually play? (5/17/2013 9:13:29)

Most of the classes can get very close to 90% winning rate in 1v1 there s no excuse, you can still win and all of those players that put 0 effort make thing way too easy for me.I only belive that owning some promos can make battles really fast incouraging this tendence.
