lHDl -> Customize bot Color? (5/11/2013 10:32:45)

I believe you should be able to change the color of you bot. It's nothing special just thinking of ideas plus I think our bots should match us.?

toopygoo -> RE: Customize bot Color? (5/11/2013 13:44:14)

do not support for the reason that bots, are like weapons, and you cannot change the colours of your weapons to match you, instead you change you colours to match them. however they might make armours they are based off of bots and maybe those will be colours linked to bots (or vice versa)

besides, this would totally de-value the the golden yeti, which some people worked really hard for

lHDl -> RE: Customize bot Color? (5/12/2013 12:25:15)

I understand the Golden Yeti BC it's Golden but the one we change in to should be our colors should it not??

Exploding Penguin -> RE: Customize bot Color? (5/12/2013 12:30:26)

Not supported because dark yeti's should look like they do energy damage, bio borg should look like it does physical, pyro fly's color scheme is meant to fit other infernal weapons such as interdictor, and infernal android should just look like a person in metal armor. Why would you want IA to have, for example, purple armor... Could possibly work for a few select bots such as bunny bots and assault bots.

King Helios -> RE: Customize bot Color? (5/12/2013 15:16:38)

I love this idea! It'd be really cool, especially for the Bio Borg. :D

i actualy want to see that in a combination of purple and black to suit my armor..maybe make it a tiny me? Since the IA are made of people in Delta V it somehow would make sense

Exploding Penguin -> RE: Customize bot Color? (5/12/2013 17:02:57)

@Necromantres: Infernal Androids were mass produced by Baelius. It wouldn't make sense if they all had different colored armor. This same logic applies for many other bot recolors that just wouldn't make sense given the bot's backstory.

Xendran -> RE: Customize bot Color? (5/12/2013 17:32:28)

Penguin: I could see my guy spray painting his bots.

TRizZzCENTRINO -> RE: Customize bot Color? (5/12/2013 17:38:36)

nightwraith had said it some time ago, it is impossible to make bots, weapons color customizable since there are lots of animations/effects included, it is already difficult enough to make bikes and armors work with it being color customizable items.

Dual Thrusters -> RE: Customize bot Color? (5/12/2013 17:49:28)

Now you can make Assault bot P look like Assault bot E lol

Yes i get your point but if you look in another way..Infernal Androinds were made of the people in Delta V (like me a homeless one :P) So now since you found them why couldn't you customize it...

Off Topic: Shouldn't the devs or Trizz release an "Infernal Android" armor? Maybe and a head style? I don't know why but i kind of like the style and the story of those bots...

The Incredible Hulk -> RE: Customize bot Color? (5/13/2013 12:55:09)

i think its fsi since bot could link in as a weapon '' - Color Custom (CC) Weapons ''

lHDl -> RE: Customize bot Color? (5/13/2013 21:03:39)

Once again.. I could understand some bots would have to stay the same color... And what nightwraith said but I was just making suggestions. As for the infernal androids they are mass produced... Yes? But so are shirts and you can get any color shirt.. Lol and cars bots should be just like bikes you can change them to match your color to match YOU and I believe more it would help sales for bots... What if they made something like the Jugg card for a price where you could buy it to be capable of changing your bot color.? What about that idea?

TRizZzCENTRINO -> RE: Customize bot Color? (5/13/2013 21:09:39)

nope, like nightwraith said, it would not happen, it would create more problems for the game rather than improving it.

BTW the bot would look ridiculous and ugly if made color customizable, imagine botanical hazard, botanical borg, azrael's borg, bio borg, gamma bot, or even omega yetis with random low quality colors, they would lose all the gradients that makes them look COOL and realistic because gradients cannot be color customized. so this would basically destroy the unique color combo/variations of the bots.

Lycus -> RE: Customize bot Color? (5/14/2013 6:35:30)

Going to lock this up since for the most part, as Triz has pointed out, it is close to impossible and also presents a lot of issues. First things first, bots such as the Golden Yeti, Dark Yeti and the normal Yeti all depend on their colours for them to make sense and have meaning - the Gamma Bot not being in Gamma colours makes it just another bot really. This kind of thing can be said for the majority of bots, their colours are connected to their relevance and where they come from.

Though you can customise armours, most armours are neutral, in terms of they have no real colour association. Where as a lot of bots do have clear colour associations. So not only is it very hard to do, it would not make too much sense. When reading the comments, most of this is just about one or two bots such as the infernal android. Even if it was possible, it is not worth spending the time and effort to create colour customisation for bots, just for one or two bots. It is easy to say 'make more' but bots take a long time to make, the art does not just grow on trees sadly and the coding does not do itself. Bots, though they are makable, they cannot just be mass produced nor made at the same speed as other art features, and a lot of player like the idea of having other features that mean a lot more and spending art time on them, rather than on this type of feature.
