all of the other debuffs rely on support, and thus there is only one way of changing them, or weakening them.
smoke however relies on tech, and that can be easily lowered to decrease the efficiency of a smoke.

i havent thought of a fix, so id really appreciate helpful suggestions

i don't think theres a way to balance this beside tech only lowers resistance while dex lowers phy defence and blocking so its kinda balanced.

edit: beside you don't think a BH should have alot of support in order to use smoke effectively

????? This doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Smoke, of all things, is the strongest of the debuffs because of the tech; the tech isn't making it worse, it's Oping it. Everybody knows that most people have more tech than they have support and that blocks are better than deflections. The only people who have a good malf or intimidate HAVE to be support abuse whereas BHs can make many things ranging from focus to tech abuse and even strength-tech.

a bh can simply make his armour physical while put tons of tech to get good smoke , i remember having over 80 while bh might also need dex to block which makes support useless which i guess is the reason why shadow arts require support to force us to drop some of our dex or str for support but it can be better for ppl with that alpha bot or whatever that green bot with big hands is called where you could balance all and get high focus to deal good bot damage while dumping every other point more than 45 into tech to increase bots and smoke power.

edit: and the point where a tech mage can malf to nerf the smoke is kinda good because naturally a mage will focus on support to increase the malf making less points in dex so its kinda balanced.

I don't see your point maybe I'm deluded but tech is far more worth while investing in then support (maybe thats just my opinion.)

defensive wise yes, but that is why people are out there com,plaining about support builds being really strong (mage and merc alike)

it cames with huge aux damage, mages have deadly aim to make up for a lack of strength, and a huge debuff, which you cannot weaken. if they made it dependant on dexterity, then you wouldnt have the problems with so many guns because aux, for one, would not be used.

i thought this was about smoke and not support and mages and mercs ?!
anyway as mages malf bounty hunters also has high tech naturally for the use of smoke and emp as much as armed with electric shield so the bh won't stand there totally valrable to damage cus even after malf he will still remain with not less than 25 resistance and without str a mage will do 20 dmg with gun and 40 with aux but on the other hand the bh will use bloodlust to remain alive if not for heals and electric shield which makes a bh totaly armed against energy.

while on the other hand smoke is just a tool for bh not a way you should have another ways of dealing with things as a BH unlike support mages where malf is a way and not a tool both malf and smoke rely on energy so a simple EMP can totaly destroy a mages apart and retour wont regenrate much untill you notice your dead.

it mostly depends on the skill of the player where if he made himself weaker to a certain type you aint gonna blame the attacker for using that way or type.
