This actually changes the bot completely, but it actually makes it a LOT more interesting.
Laser becomes usable up to 2 times
First Laser activation: 70% + 5% Per turn that the bot special is off cooldown but not used. Up to 90%. Second Laser Activation: 100% + 6.25% per turn that the bot is available and not used after the first activation. Up to 125%.
This provides a lot of dynamic between using the laser and the physical attack, and not just sitting there tanking everything until it reaches max power. It's almost like having a custom bot where you can manually adjust the power and cooldown. Higher power = higher 'cooldown'.
I like the 2nd idea since it's useable more than once and you aren't stalling anymore but have to use it (even at 90% damage) but in return, you get double use which scales faster (4 turns to cap).
Not so with the first one which you've covered pretty well + IA is made to raise damage as the fight gets longer which #1 lacks so yeah, 2nd idea is pretty good.
Hm. Wouldn't making it 100% for the First Laser and 6% per turn be more appropriate? I see where you're coming from but that way, you will at least deal 100% damage instead of 90% and chance not to use the Second Laser. Furthermore, 6% per turn means it'll take 5 turns to deal 100% damage whilst now, it takes 4 turns to get to 90%.

That's the point. You need to adjust your build to the bot, not the other way around. A player who has a build that can't survive long enough to consistently get off their second laser to compensate for the first weaker one should consider using a different bot.
