The problem with ED right now is that pretty much all attacks that don't require energy were greatly nerfed. Strike, gun, aux, and bot attacks all lost a good portion of their damage. This leaves most of a player's offensive capabilities up to skills that cost energy or skill cores, which are limited in their use since they're only usable once per fight. As you increase the amount of skill points invested in any skill, the damage-energy cost ratio becomes less beneficial. This is why plasma cannon is currently weaker than bunker, because you need a large amount of skill points invested in plasma cannon to get the same amount of damage that bunker has at lower skill point levels such as level 5 bunker. This is also why caster TM builds are very strong and slightly overpowered; because they barely need any skill points and energy cost to use a low level plasma bolt while still dealing massive amounts of damage.
