@Axell5, did you even read the thread properly..?

Noobatron x3000 -> RE: Everything for Credits: Overdone (5/22/2013 9:44:39)

^ You may want to read the thread.

Ahh ninja'd

axell5 -> RE: Everything for Credits: Overdone (5/22/2013 9:50:09)

ok im sorry, but i still think that everything should cost higher credits than before and if someone doesn't want to farm, just use var shortcut

ansh0 -> RE: Everything for Credits: Overdone (5/22/2013 10:49:13)

More like a suggestion but supported if any skin is varium only.

If a weapon/armor etc. is special(with a core) then it should be both credit only and varium only.

veneeria -> RE: Everything for Credits: Overdone (5/23/2013 16:20:42)

I have to ask... Why?
Why would you even want that? Yes, it could bring more money, but also would go against the whole point of making varium easy-to-get free option.

Even in the case of valuing varium more, why not just boost the amount of credits to buy these amazingly looking items?

Why would you want us and yourself to pay more for epicduel? Are they in such desperate need to get more money?

Why would you want to differ also the varium population with the non-varium population of the player base in their appearance as well? Isn't that why we've got hairstyles that require varium to unlock?

Plus, the whole : "they have it, so we should also have" doesn't mean it would be as effective or automatically make it the best choice. However, if it will work or not, neither of us can predict it.

So again... Why?

That's not the only point of varium. The existance of varium only hairstyles directly contradicts your assumption.

Because then there is no true incentive to get varium, and makes varium players feel no different than credit players. It actually DISCOURAGES the purchasing of varium.

1. Yes they are
2. Explain to me why you NEED to look amazing. If you have gear that works, you are playing the game. If you pay instead of freeloading their bandwidth and assets, you get to look awesome while doing it.

Because that is literally the core behind microtransactions that are both fun and fair.

That's completely wrong. Microtransactions are extremely predictable. The games with cosmetics as their primary microtransactions make massive amounts of money, if you do any research into the industry you will find that this is very consistent.

martinsen5 -> RE: Everything for Credits: Overdone (5/23/2013 17:24:02)

@veneeria, why not? Every single MMO has cosmetic items these days, it's absolutely nothing new! I personally have spent a lot of money on varium in the past, mainly for the sake of looks, now on the other hand I do not.

kosmo -> RE: Everything for Credits: Overdone (5/23/2013 18:33:34)

Players definetly prefer varium to be a shurtcut and a boost in battle, plus whats the value of having only art varium weapons, who would ever buy promo packages without having benefits in battle?Anyway if you think that all cosmetic items shuld be varium only you re wrong and selfish thinking, the current sistem both incourages new players (that are usually free and more interested to the look) and varium players that are usaually more expirienced and prefer to have good cores.

Xendran -> RE: Everything for Credits: Overdone (5/23/2013 18:43:18)

Kosmo, i would encourage you to actually research the market before discussing it. The claims you made do not line up with the video game market whatsoever, and are actually the opposite of what has been shown.
A lot of MMOs are dying because the majority of gamers avoid pay2win games.
Games that are successfull sell cosmetics. LoL, PoE, there are lots.

Jacobfarrow1 -> RE: Everything for Credits: Overdone (5/23/2013 19:32:10)

About what some of you said about all weapons, armors, etc. being able to buy with credits, what about those offers when you start the game? Like, in the new varium promo (Or whatever), the Dread one, are those items available for Credits? What about the seasonal Azreal items? Are they all available with credits, or are they an exception?

Thanks.

Xendran -> RE: Everything for Credits: Overdone (5/23/2013 19:34:19)

Those aren't available for credits OR varium.
Players will not buy varium if there is nothing unique to spend it on.

Noobatron x3000 -> RE: Everything for Credits: Overdone (5/23/2013 20:14:27)

This is why i don't get the new 12k package. Who is going to buy that ? Like seriously if there is any reason at all to buy it its for the promo's. And I largely suspect no one bright is going to spend money on most of the promos apart from the very rare occasion something like azrael comes out $50 to look pretty in all the promos cases except azrael which admittedly gave you a edge. When you can look pretty for free. And get cores as good as if not better then most of the promo cores as of omega free in game (excluding azrael.)

Bloodpact -> RE: Everything for Credits: Overdone (5/24/2013 13:57:42)

I support the whole better art = varium
Not AS good art = credits
