I know some of you won't be agree with me, but plasma bolt needed a nerf and mercs a buff, that was very clear. I want to say to the Epic Duel team thank you for listening some of our suggestions, I'm always complaining but now I can say that justice is more close of us now. Of course if you are a mage you will be not so happy lol.

I love the update they finally give the merc some energy regen and the buff for static charge was great, pb really needed that nerf.

I agree but I'm not sure whether this belongs here or not.

I would like to see more of mercs around and I can study to see what needs to be fixed

^ legit I ran through 1v1 matchs just looking for a merc.. and i found one without static smash...

Made a caster version of merc with max static smash. It's pretty overpowered, especially with a tanking passive and the fact that bunker can crit quite often.

Static smash is way OP, and plasma bolt got overnerfed. The scaling change from 3 to 3.5 was definitely needed, but they should have done something like making plasma bolt get +3 damage per skill point rather than 2. I think the staff had the right ideas, but there was just poor execution.

@Exploding Penguin Really, plasma bolt overnerfed? It has lower cost than fireball and still dealing more dmg, and you are one player that want plasma bolt nerfed at all cost, what change your mind?

Nope not at all I've quit ED now cause i can see whats coming. Found a new game anyhow with a lot more contents 150 levels and yeah a actual story and get this they let you do PVP or PVE as much as you want . So yeah I'll glance at the forums from time to time perhaps log in the game 5 minutes or so a month just to see that its still here . And whats happening .But i shall not be returning properly everything has its time. ED has had its time.

It costs 13 mana to cast a level 1 fireball now.

@ale6300: It was definitely overnerfed to a point of being unusable. Given its junky damage progression with skill points and its now slower scaling, it's still only worth it in terms of damage-energy cost ratio at level 1, and it only does a very small amount of damage at that now. I was hoping they'd do something like make the damage increase per skill point changed to 3 instead of its current 2. Right now the skill isn't worth investing, it only does moderately low damage, and has no added effects.

Plasma bolt is not overnerfed, then i was mercenary since omega started, I know more than you about the changes that mercenaries have been suffered, if you have the new skill level 10, as you said is not overpowered, you have to sacrifice another skills. That's the same if I say reroute is overpowered because you can do your super plasma bolt all the times that you want, btw, i have to lose a turn to recover my energy, you as mage just have to stay there and receive damage. Then, its not casuality that we are not so much mercs, that is because we were totally nerfed, you can go saying that we are overpowered because we can get some energy after they nerfed all our main skills xD

@Rowl: I find it hard to believe that you know more than me about the changes that mercenaries have suffered through since I've been playing mainly as a merc and TM since beta, and started switching from merc to TM and back and forth a lot during gamma, all the way until now. Merc was so underpowered in delta, the most seemingly-optimal build for mercs other than caster back then was focus, and it was even worse than trying to play TM focus now. You said they nerfed our "main skills," but which are these? They nerfed bunker because HP was reduced, and I'm still hitting massive numbers on a level 4 bunker, even when it doesn't crit. Don't let the change in damage in Omega deceive you, because HP was also lowered in the extreme, so a -5 damage nerf on a skill is still normal in Omega. Berzerker was also nerfed, but it still hits absurdly high numbers on turn 2 compared to other classes. Surgical strike was never nerfed and is a great tactical asset to mercs, and faster rage given Omega's faster fights definitely helps a lot. Adrenaline is, without a doubt, underestimated. I would say the point that merc was totally nerfed in would be delta, because the only build that actually worked was caster. Support merc wasn't even that great, especially since it reined supreme in gamma so it was weakened in delta.
