Static smash is fine like this. yes it is strong. But that not giving free victory 100%.
Im see few 3lvl caster players who can beat static smasher spammer. Techmage can doing assimilation and reroute help them gain more energy. 17 energy is easy collecting.techmage main purpose is doing 3lvl plasmabolt whit rage. Assimilation need fix because if that block that give still too much energy.
Static smash can be very affective some builds. Remember enemy get faster rage than static smasher user.

If i changed this new Static smash something. i changed that this way.

Static Smash: I changes only conversion affect %

Level 1: 43%--->10%
Level 2: 47%--->18%+8%
Level 3: 51%--->26%+8%
Level 4: 55%--->32%+8%
Level 5: 58%--->40%+7%
Level 6: 61%--->47%+7%
Level 7: 64%--->54%+7%
Level 8: 67%--->61%+7%
Level 9: 70% --->67%+7%
Level 10: 73%--->73%+7%

This my suggestion slow down stregth abusers little bit. If mercenary want energy stealing build that must use some skill points to static charge.
It is too good move that 1lvl move. High stregth players that 43%(1lvl) is too too affective now. 10 lvl is fine because that using skill points really much. I playing 10lvl static smasher build and i noticed good thing. 10lvl static smasher is not OP. Some opponents is easy to beat some is veryhard to beat. Basically i like this new move. My suggestion forcing to use more skill points. That making little bit balancing that skill points using.
More skill points--->more convertion

I like very much this new Static smash move ^^ only broplem is 43% lvl 1 start. That why i suggestion that 1lvl start to 10%. 10lvl is same both new and old.

My english isnt perfect but try understand.

With 76 Strength which gives me 16-20 +30 damage (46-50), I only drain 19-21 Energy at Lvl 1 whilst EMP can drain around 25 Energy easily at that level, so why nerf it? 10% of that would be.. 5 EP drain. You're nerfing something that doesn't need to be changed. And the return would be 4 EP... That'd be crippling the skill, a lot. I won't even mention the Maul requirement.

It's fine as it is. 43% isn't a lot after all the diminishing returns on Strength. It's a bit weaker than EMP at the same amount of Tech & blockable at that, for both, Atom and Static.

energy damage is same static smasher and atom smashers.
i drop down some % what that static smasher can be leech low lvls(skill tree)

Atom Smasher is supposed to work as an EP draining skill as well, therefore it cannot be even weaker than Assimilation (and that one provides on-demand Energy & a partial EP drain). >.> You'd be nerfing the move into oblivion and forcing players to train it up until Lvl 6+ to be even able to match EMP at Lvl 1 with around 70 Tech... *assuming around 70 Strength*

I'm aware this is for Static Smash. In my first post, I've clearly said:

I've meant the same in my second one but I'm still used to calling it Atom instead of Static or just Smash. You cannot cripple it to the level below that of Assimilation which has unblockable effect and would drain more EP and return more. You'd be forcing players to get to Lvl 6+ to get what they could achieve with Lvl 1 EMP. Smasher is blockable at that and requires a Maul, so you'd be nerfing the skill into oblivion for no reason.

With 76 Strength (16-20) and Lvl 35 Maul (+35), you'd get 51-55 damage and 10% of it is 5-6 EP drained and around the same amount returned. That's below Assimilation and way below EMP. Smasher is still an EP draining skill like Atom is so you cannot just cripple it to be below Assimilation which serves completely different purpose.

Reason is because if it was a strength abuser vs a tank and the strength abuser static smashed, he would Either block making him lose or he would waste a turn since Normally strength abusers lose to most people anyways giving a low percentage of wins.

Back in the days when you strength abused, it was OP. Leave static smash how it is since it is like working to get some energy like re route which would give you infinite amount of energy while static smash is maxed to a certain point. So if a person had no energy, you couldn't static smash whilst if you have reroute and someone attacked, you would get some energy back.

The aim of the game to beat mercenary is to diminish all your energy quickly.
Or
Make sure they have full energy since if they static smashed, they wouldn't get energy back.
Or
Get lucky and block it.

You do block a lot though to be honest
