Snaipera -> BloodMage experience (5/29/2013 16:56:54)

Hey guys. I was just wondering with all the adjustments(nerfs) , what are your thoughts on the Blood mage class. Of course both BlMs and non-BlMs can express their opinion.

In my experience, BloodMages are not on par with other classes speaking energy-wise . Bloodmages do not have any energy-draining skills, which in today's environment, is deadly . Furthermore, apart from reflex boost, the Blood mage cannot regain energy, however this can be neglected seeing they accumulate hp with their bloodlust. The nerfs on Deadly Aim and Bludgeon, as well as Supercharge being useless in our skill tree really limit us against the powerful mercenaries, the always-lucky bounties and the regular mages, who tank with great success.

What are your thoughts ?

In before hun kingq

I don't think BM's should have had the DA nerf, and maybe Energy Shot (gun ep drain) could apply with Deadly Aim?

Ranloth -> RE: BloodMage experience (5/29/2013 17:20:36)

DA nerf was needed, it was giving too much early on and useless past Lvl 8 at certain ranges. It's needed an adjustment since Beta or Gamma, really. SC nerf? Switching from Dex to Tech? Can hardly call that a nerf. Bludgeon needed to be bumped down after Omega so it's understandable + it's still powerful if used wisely.

Powerful Mercenaries? I have to yet get beaten by one, although there were a few, they've had a good build. Mages are easy if you dispose of your Energy quickly and have an EP draining core (and time it properly), at least to delay casting Bolt. The nerf to Bolt made them a bit less of a threat.

Mother1 -> RE: BloodMage experience (5/29/2013 17:22:01)

Bloodmage when it first came out had an energy draining move however it was replaced with Reflex boost since back then it was considered useless. However as it stands now even though a previous OP bloodmage made me not like the class itself, I won't deny that the skill tree needs to be reworked big time along with the other classes skill trees as well.

Demon Emperor -> RE: BloodMage experience (5/29/2013 17:47:29)

As a BM, I also feel like we need a way to drain energy, even if its just a small added effect of another skill.
SC also needs to be replaced with something, its a skill thats useless for BMs because it doesn't work with bloodlust, and because BMs can't regain energy SC isn't worth having.

Bloodpact -> RE: BloodMage experience (5/29/2013 17:56:41)

I got it xD!

We make the ultimate steal 30% of the dmg in EP instead of life >:D

Ranloth -> RE: BloodMage experience (5/29/2013 18:02:26)

That could work. It'd basically lower the EP needed to cast the skill (the difference), and could prove to be useful. Or replace Bludgeon with Assimilation-like skill but without the EP return. A copy of Assimilation really, just not being able to return Energy drained to yourself. Damage + EP drain, that's all. Why Bludgeon? It's the best replacement & if the skill was to still deal damage (100%, not 85% like Assimilation), the trade-off would be fair.

Bloodpact -> RE: BloodMage experience (5/29/2013 18:11:18)

^ true since BM are more into STR then tech.

Thus greater levels of drain(no return ) with the 8? str per energy drain
you would be seeing about a 20some EP drain with your
100% dealt dmg.

Would it require a staff tho?

Flirebolt + Ulti+ Stun 3 weapon required skills already
is decent would we want to bump it to 4?

Could be called like EnergyBane so could still be used by a sword.

Ranloth -> RE: BloodMage experience (5/29/2013 18:14:26)

I'd say no Staff requirement, just like Bludgeon doesn't require a Staff. Just a damage and EP drain, and since it's replacing a Strength-based movie + improving with Strength, the drain would fit the Strength builds without really giving them more damage nor EP back, just draining and normal Strike damage. *probably blockable effect, unlike Assimilation*

@below
Yes.

Bloodpact -> RE: BloodMage experience (5/29/2013 18:19:35)

Indeed.

Blocked would get the same effect as everyone else at 15% getting through,
I trust?

Same thing with technology on tlm changing techinician into blood shield because it was too op

And smoke into field commander because it was op

NDB -> RE: BloodMage experience (5/30/2013 0:22:41)

This sounds like it should be in balance. On topic: if this is about whether or not Bm is OP or UP, I'd say it is actually one of the best classes today in terms of win rate. 85% no problem.

kittycat -> RE: BloodMage experience (5/30/2013 2:40:10)

Well my Blood Mage experience was a bit alright. I started out as a Plasma Cannon build, then I turned to a Focus build. Until Omega, I switched classes about 4 times since release of Omega to now.

masher339 -> RE: BloodMage experience (6/4/2013 0:55:15)

I totally agree with you guys...before the cores that removes EP, the static smash of merc, the assimilation that is unblockable in terms of removing EP arrived I can say that BM still stands a chance. But now wohhh, with the tank builds of the other classes and the EP removal cores and skills BM can't win. SC really is useless, I also agrees with the EP remove skill..And also BM population is very few because of that facts. So it really shows that BM are really useless nowadays .

Theclown -> RE: BloodMage experience (6/4/2013 2:17:08)

Bloodmage is pretty rare now i think its good with delta weapons lvl 1 till 25 on 2 vs 2 :P

kosmo -> RE: BloodMage experience (6/4/2013 4:54:41)

Bloodmage is the best class.

King FrostLich -> RE: BloodMage experience (6/4/2013 6:10:23)

BM is decent for me. It doesn't have that much bad skills except for the fact that bloodlust is gonna turn into an active along with deadly aim but we'll see.

Trae -> RE: BloodMage experience (6/4/2013 8:55:00)

i just gave it a try and i am LOVING it decent for 1v1 i can get about 78% ratio witch is good because im only level 34
and it is very good for juggernaut
