Overall this is a rough idea for a bounty system that I have come up to combat the influx of prices and to create a fun mode where it's not about winning all of the time.

Epic Duel Bounty System

First on the list is 1 v 1
Overall I have come up with a rough idea, but hopefully there will be approvals and community help with this system.

Overall there are "smart" players in-game that can build up win streaks easily, my plan is to convert those win streaks to create a target towards that player. "Bounty" in the old west was a way to eliminate the overall threat to the community and gain a reward. In ED "bounty" is to strive to create a threat and players must beat that threat to gain a reward. Of course the person marked with "bounty" won't be left out because he/she will gain a small gold increase for each player he/she slays.

To activate the bounty mark the player must accumulate 10 win streak and he/she will be marked with the bounty icon.

Here is how the bounty system shall work:

10 win streak: Marked Player - 20 gold increase in wins
Player that beats the Marked - 120 gold reward

20 win streak: Marked Player - 30 gold increase in wins
Player that beats the Marked - 200 gold reward

Etc.

This is what I came up with for that system for 1 v 1, but if it needs work then suggestions are welcome to improve the system more.



Second on the list is 2 v 2
I was not sure on how to handle this because I was contemplating whether it should be a separate mode or not, but I came up with a unique mode for this bounty for 2 v 2.

"The Bonnie and Clyde Bounty System"

Overall this system is to create a bounty on two players that are able to work together to gain win streaks in 2 v 2. This idea is still in the rough works so as a community I would ask for ideas to be presented in help with this system.

At first I was unsure on how to tackle this because 2 v 2 is random so I came up with either having a separate 2 v 2 icon, an npc with the Bonnie and Clyde mode, or you click on a player/friend's icon to partner up for the Bonnie and Clyde System. This system works the same way as the 1 v 1 bounty system, but the rewards are doubled to accommodate the reward for teamwork for both players.

The first ten wins activate the bounty and the gold rewards increase for both the bounty and the players hunting the bounty:

10 win streak: Marked Players - 50 gold increase in wins
Player that beats the Marked - 250 gold reward

20 win streak: Marked Player - 100 gold increase in wins
Player that beats the Marked - 400 gold reward

Overall it's a simple system that I believe that needs work, but overall it's a system to help players gain a little gold in the long run as to have fun while battling.


Finally to help keep count of the bounties a board can be implemented to update on current bounties to see what player has been marked by the bounty of wins.


Overall again if the system isn't to your liking then suggestions are welcomed in this thread and I am open minded to any ideas presented for vast improvements to the system.

I read the title of this suggestion and immediately thought "YES" already knowing what you were about to suggest (title says it all, really)

Naturally I support this idea, it just sounds like a lot of fun imo [:D]

Tho I predict the gold numbers would have to be lower
to satisfy the Epicduel Team.

Just a possible addition.


Also an interesting factor would to add in a deadly mix to the
lives of the bounties outside of searching for a fight,

If you have accumulated the streak necessary of being a bounty,
outside of the battle search engine you could be forced into a
challenge by people looking to tackling your bounty.

For means of strategic evasion + fairness to it not being to easy

If your a bounty you would have a easy to spot icon over your head
ONLY visible to people who have gone to the "Bounty Board"
to take on the challenge of killing said bounties. The hunter's would then
get a like Texas Sheriff Star icon over their head only visible to
bounties.( So your friends couldn't tip you to log off )

OR

Every time you log off your streak get's reset + everyone
can see both icon's, but then as a bounty you would
be imprisoned if you logged off and would have to pay(500 credits or 50 varium)
or do community service.( kill x amount of said monster
in x amount of time ,because it's overpopulated or eating
all the cake or whatever )

Would the battle's your forced into count towards your stat's? I'm not sure

Also you would only be able to hunt people on the Bounty Board in your
level range.

The streaks are pretty long to get and taking into consideration of the player's play time into account, I wouldn't like a reset in the streaks.

The W/L ratio would play into this, but I would rather not since it would cause players to not have fun because of the W/L ratio attitudes.

Overall I like your suggestions and I might do a little rewrite to the system.

i like this idea, but yeah lower credit rewards.
this could come with its own leaderboards, like:
Noteriety: increases each time you win a battle after gaining a bounty (achievement potential here)

Thanks for the suggestions guys and I added an edit to lower gold increases and also the suggestions that you placed out of course with credits included. More suggestions are needed to make this a fun system to work with for players in the ED community. [:D]
