aramcho213 -> The point? (6/8/2013 17:44:37)

Well I just returned to epicduel and noticed how every single armor has the same exact stats and the only different thing upon them is the looks. I cease to see the point of this can anybody clear things up for me?

Mother1 -> RE: The point? (6/8/2013 18:05:30)

They did in an attempt to help balance the game. With the exception of cores no armor stat wise is better than another. But in reality it has made the game a bigger dress up game then before.

The Incredible Hulk -> RE: The point? (6/8/2013 18:41:10)

Not bigger. It is. Every day, Every week, there is always new weapons.

Weapons.....Weapons.....Weapons......
Weapons which are expensive.
Weapons which look cool.
Weapons for wars.
Weapons which are expensive.
Weapons you want to buy but run out of credits very quick.
And weapons which are all the same.

No many new features. The game looks exact as it was 2-3 years ago.
-Same game modes. 1v1, 2v2, Jugg or NPC.
-Wars.
-Same classes
-Same level ups (once per year)
-Same skill tree (12 per class)
-Same bots ( I remember in one of your DNs that you would make 2 passive cores for 1 bot)
-Same cores (Where is the advanced cores? Where are the cores you said that you were going to bring alot of variety in the game?)
-Same alignments
-Same vehicles
-Who starts 1st in a game mode is still the same. Why not change it up abit with a coin toss ( I'll doubt any of you support that) for example or other methods
- Same stats. You could bring another era of stats for example:
Strength
Dexterity
Technology
Support
Hacker/Ninja/Camouflage ( You get what I mean).
-Same achievements
-Same gender
-Flags ( I'm sure you could do something else with them either then donating to a flag)
-Same style of Pvp (Not many new builds you can create that will work).

You get the point. There is so much to change. All I know is that they are working on something about missions and faction improvements. I'll doubt they'll do cores. They always say there is a bug with cores that they want to make.

Q...Q -> RE: The point? (6/9/2013 6:38:11)

Yeah they made weapons useless , armors, aux and guns.
But hey!! They added stupid cores, thats what unbalanced the game.
The devs themselves blew up there own game with those stupid changes.
Anyway game is slowly duying.

Ranloth -> RE: The point? (6/9/2013 6:47:51)

Funnily enough, people will buy cosmetics regardless of the fact if they are powerful or not. Look at AQW. Stupid cores? Okay. Unbalanced the game? Seems like you're a new player since enhancements were much worse and balancing the game back then was pretty much aimed at Varium players since F2P could barely compete unless lucky.

Game is dying? Yeah, no data to back it up with and figures say something else. Check the ED Decline thread before making flawed statements that aren't justified in any way and are purely opinion based + biased.

zion -> RE: The point? (6/9/2013 11:09:15)

Figures?
Getting carried away there bro!? (unless you are privy to some info that we are not).
It would better be served if we left our collective grinding axes elsewhere.

Valid question IMO. The point of different equips used to be different/stronger stats. Since he missed the Trans-ition, he is confused. The relvant info is: Equips are for: (1) looks or (2) Promo equipment with OP cores or (3) Diversity of cores without having to re-buy them.

This could even be a valid discussion if it centered around a healthy debate regarding the new system vis-a-vis the old system... albeit this was torpedoed from the first response.

toopygoo -> RE: The point? (6/9/2013 11:37:40)

i think armor should still have different abilities' and shouldnt just be for looks. you should have cheaper weak armor, and stronger more expensive ones, to help balance out the credit price problem. i paid 20K for my armor before the omega release. at the time, that was a fair some of money. after the omega release, i fully upgraded it all stats and cores,and it only sold for like 14K. that way less than half the original price. should've been around 23K resale ( 20+14 for core+12 for maxed stats)

Ranloth -> RE: The point? (6/9/2013 11:52:20)

This doesn't help the Credit inflation at all and brings back the problem with balance just like it was with enhancements.

toopygoo -> RE: The point? (6/9/2013 12:06:57)

why? because if you spend more you still get same quality armor? im not just thinking of different abilities when i said that. i eant just higher defensive (pure shield) stats, like we had in delta.

Khalix -> RE: The point? (6/9/2013 12:17:31)

The armors are usually there for style points.
Only armors that have fancy cores provide different benefits.

People have a fond obsession with looking presentable in their own eyes. So even in the event of practicality or impracticality, what truly decides the deal would be whether or not the user approves of the appearance.

ND Mallet -> RE: The point? (6/9/2013 12:47:20)

The point is so that you, a player who just came back from an extended absence, can jump right back into the game with only a little effort. Before in ED, if you were gone for over a year, you had to catch up on whatever was the current strongest seasonal rare in-game as well as any non-rares that might have been released that outclass your armor. Now, you don't have to worry aside from leveling your character. You might have to change your build and stats, but that's better than build, stats AND a full set of weapons.

Q...Q -> RE: The point? (6/9/2013 14:41:03)

That's the probleme , the devs made the game too easy. And yet there is no challenge for older people that needs some kind of *challenges* in games
A new player can be as good than a super old player that always been playing this game, that's not right.

@ Trans
I don't even need to argue with you , i know what im talking about and just how ED is running right now, unless there is a major change.
My brother works in game developpements. So please Ush.

That's not right because...? Some people are fast learners, that's all. I don't see how experience from PvP in Beta will help me fight in Omega. Care to explain? The only experience an older player will have is how the game looked like before. Everyone are in Omega now so experience in this very phase should - ideally - be equal for everyone, but then some people learn faster than others.

How is that a problem? Judging by that, you should either start playing in the past or not play at all. If it even makes any sense, because it doesn't for me.

Q...Q -> RE: The point? (6/9/2013 15:29:24)

Fast learners ? I guess yes this game can be understood under 2 weeks MAX , since there is no levels of difficulties that you can find when you play the game. You fight player and then you just copy what they do, And it goes like that every fight, changes a bit if you oppenent has a different class.
When all the stats are the same on EVERY Type of items, thats what you call fast learners, super strong cores , Having 50k wins in pvp makes you good at the game ? Or it just shows how easy it can be ?

And you said, Your experience in beta doesnt help you at all... thats what you said!!!! and it is the probleme , you should have learned enough experience in game to be BETTER in other phase... of the game.

And By the way, Games Will never be equal for everyone.

But you might never understand my point if you always been playing Artix games.

Ranloth -> RE: The point? (6/9/2013 15:43:35)

If the skills are different to that of in previous phases (i.e. different numbers or completely new), how can I re-use that experience? Yeah, I'm gonna use Static Charge that gave me back around 20 EP per use now in Omega where it works on completely different numbers and in a different way. Right. How does that help me? It doesn't make me better in other phases because game changes, in this case we're looking at the skills and numbers. What may have been effective in Beta will not work in Omega. For example: "Oh boy, I'm gonna use that super strong SC build on my TM! It has 3 hits and instant KO on use!" *the attack has only one hit and balanced damage* "Thanks old phases for helping me to make a build that doesn't work!"

Thanks for telling me that games won't be equal for everyone. That's why I included 'ideally' in there which is a perfect example which will never be reached.

I won't understand your point if I played just Artix Games.. Okay. For those who only play AE Games, care evaluating on what you mean? Giving a blind example and not explaining it doesn't help to get your point across. It's like me saying: "You won't understand my point if you don't have my level of swag. Btw, it's 42." Funny, right?

zion -> RE: The point? (6/10/2013 10:09:02)
