aramcho213 -> dominating 1v1 class (6/26/2013 15:27:45)

which class do you players think dominates in the omega phase?
please discuss your reasons why and what makes it different from other classes.

Dual Thrusters -> RE: dominating 1v1 class (6/26/2013 15:48:41)

High health bounty hunter is very tricky to defeat. You can't just be defensive, because they can instantly wipe out your defenses, so you either need to lower their strength, or just go all out with your attacks.

Mysterion. -> RE: dominating 1v1 class (6/26/2013 17:06:09)

^ Lol, no.

Those aren't very hard to beat, it all depends on their luck..
One block/deflect and they lose instantly from my build.
If not, then i can still win from them.

It all depends on your strategy. ^^
I find TLMs the hardest actually...

Midnightsoul -> RE: dominating 1v1 class (6/26/2013 17:24:52)

^Especially those 5 focus poison TLMS...

Mysterion. -> RE: dominating 1v1 class (6/26/2013 17:28:14)

^ I feel you..
One hell of annoying build, specially those who poison you right after you healed. O_O

I hope Rabble reads my poison change idea on the Balance section for this one. :D

Dual Thrusters -> RE: dominating 1v1 class (6/26/2013 17:38:40)

Tlms are too easy for me :P. I just keep spamming EMP, save enough energy for two heals and I win at round 20

I have more trouble with the normal merc with their static smash

DanniiBoiixD -> RE: dominating 1v1 class (6/26/2013 21:42:57)

5 Focus IA Surgical Strike TLMs. They own me no matter what build I come up with..

Mother1 -> RE: dominating 1v1 class (6/26/2013 22:00:19)

I win some I lose some with TLM. The builds I am seeing more of now are those using the azreal's Promo item/items (Not the one from last year lol) with there build. Most strength support build and even support merc's with this item are annoying.

Support merc goes like this.

Aux
Azreal's will so you can't heal if you need to
Artillery strike and you are done.

Builds with the poison bot, I just heal early since the majority of poison bot users are the slow killing builds that don't do high damage and I can take a bit of a beating from the first poison to last to the second.

theultrakiller -> RE: dominating 1v1 class (6/26/2013 22:26:40)

I think Cyber hunters are hard to beat also. They got high defense/resistance, malfunction, Static Charge, Shadow Arts, Defense Matrix. They just build up a ton of resistance and when they get smoked they just matrix and then malf u and static to get their energy back and can heal lots of times.

ValkyrieKnight -> RE: dominating 1v1 class (6/26/2013 23:15:40)

For me its bounty hunter, it seems no matter how high my dex is ( 99 dex currently ) if I get smoked, I get blocked. No matter what ! It really makes me want to log off sometime fighting the same build bounty 4/5 1v1 fights. Also yes, high tech TLM with that poison bot is unfair now that they have 2 methods of recovery energy.

Cookielord12 -> RE: dominating 1v1 class (6/27/2013 10:26:15)

Being a Tac Merc with reroute, Mercs are a pain since they can keep stealing energy that I gain and regaining themselves (and myself having no energy to use atom smasher)

Exploding Penguin -> RE: dominating 1v1 class (6/27/2013 12:52:12)

@Cookielord: If you have reroute 7+, then a hit of around 25+ in one turn will give you enough to use atom smasher. It shouldn't be too hard to use atom given it only costs 6 energy.

I have trouble with those high HP BHs and TMs because of the severity of debuffs on mercs and how I can't patch up and debuffs on me. In the end I have to get lucky with a block/deflect to win, because crits also barely do anything to them.

Bloodpact -> RE: dominating 1v1 class (6/27/2013 12:55:41)

hardest... prob 150+ hp BH's

Cookielord12 -> RE: dominating 1v1 class (6/27/2013 14:43:08)

I don't get 25+ hits lol, I'm a tank.

IsaiahtheMage -> RE: dominating 1v1 class (6/27/2013 15:32:16)

I say 5 Focus Tank TLMs. They're other strong classes and builds that win fast or die fast, but lack a good win/lose ratio. However, when it comes to a good win/lose ratio at the cost of long battles. It's definitely TLMs, their poison grenade is so annoying. They usually have generator to keep regaining more energy and health, they have high defense and resistance. They have that poison bot too, and if you manage to almost kill them, they still have field medic.

Necromantres -> RE: dominating 1v1 class (6/27/2013 15:44:04)

for me, bounty hunter/ cyber hunter with poison bot (basicaly emp to take my energy out and posion to be sure i'll be bleeding slowly)

Exploding Penguin -> RE: dominating 1v1 class (6/27/2013 23:02:54)

@Cookielord: You must at some point in most of your fights, excluding those who use the botanical hazards as their main offensive tools. Physical rage attacks from the opponent could easily hit 25 if you have balanced defense and resistance because it pierces through mineral armor.

Cookielord12 -> RE: dominating 1v1 class (6/28/2013 8:53:27)

My AS is L9 lol :P so it would be 56 damage.

santonik -> RE: dominating 1v1 class (6/28/2013 9:38:21)

High HP. (Over 110 +)
High debuff. (smoke / Malf)
High damage.

Very hard to beat. If the opponent is Azrael will, so it is quite impossible to win. These are the most difficult to overcome.
They only need to attack.

killerman164 -> RE: dominating 1v1 class (6/28/2013 18:50:40)

The first I tried high hp bounty on lvl34... Yeah no I died 50 times even with Azrael's and that Bronze Pride ;-; (nah not really, ended up with 60% rate probs)
I do think high str hp bounty can be a problem to me.

At Low Level:
I do think Mercs have such an upper hand, always tanking and such, but they are always countered by strength bounties ;/
Tact Merc also has such an high upperhand, at level 18, I already have 27 defense and res and I'm just wrecking everything my way. Only got 2 losses from such a build I've thought of...

At Mid Level:
Still Merc for me. Even though I've been countered by Strength Bounties, I can still manage, I might get Ninja Reflexes if what Mysterion really said can be true, gotta hope for the luck...
It all still depends for me though for builds, I've been trying bounty and it just wrecks...

At the 30-35 Range:
I have not known, but I do think TLM can be a huge problem... From just seeing Dragon's 92% ratio in 1v1. I do not even think about touching that button.

Zeruphantom -> RE: dominating 1v1 class (6/28/2013 20:23:43)

Tech Mages who play with the new Strength and Support builds. It's unbearable; and to make things worse, they use the already powerful Azrael sidearm and aux.

I'm considering switching to Tactical Mercenary, just to give them a taste of true, technical skill (*coughSurgicalStrikecough*).

Thylek Shran -> RE: dominating 1v1 class (6/28/2013 22:17:18)

After some weeks of not playing ED much I noticed this as a 5 focus TM:

High HP BHs and 4/5 focus BMs because BL still is OPed. Same with the poison
loop robots that nearly everyone is using now, and Azraelīs Will. The poison
effect should be limited to one time per duel or its cooldown increased by 2 turns.

Strenght-Support TM with maxed Malfunction seems to be a new OPed build.
Also had some serious problems with TaMs that looped the posion robot.

ValkyrieKnight -> RE: dominating 1v1 class (6/28/2013 22:34:33)

@ Thylek Shran

Str / Support TM are gravy until you block, just 1 block is auto lose for them. The ultimate game of all or nothing.

Bounty hunter + Very high tech = High resistance, great robot damage ( some with poison ) and super smoke, not to mention a cheap emp grenade.

TLM has been discussed, I disliked that class in Delta, but it wasn't nearly as bad as they are now, I now despise TLM Look at this mess.

I have no problem with Cyber, Blood Mage & Mercenary

ReinVI -> RE: dominating 1v1 class (6/28/2013 23:05:42)

let's see... malf? classes can energy shield/ technician...
smoke? classes can defense matrix ( still say it gives a slight to high a boost ... ) or reflex
this takes out bounty/ tech/ and cyber for the running of most dominant class.

Passive armor? mercs only gives 5/5 so it's not to incredible...
cybers get Energy 10 at max which is great! if so many things didn't rely on tech being higher
Tlm get a 10 physical armor which offsets the fact the say "be off with you!" to dex and pile it onto tech for overcharged bots/ SS while having crazy defenses...

Passive others blood lust? not very useful when your attacks can barely punch through the opponents defenses.. so against tanks it's a bust!
Reroute the most useful in terms that if you can survive you can be a 'energy battery' constantly having more and more
tlms can abuse this the most due to there defense making them easily survive the CD between heals... especially with regenerator.
techmages sure they have it but due to there usually lack luster defenses it's not nearly good enough to creating a 'looping' strategy.

so by looking at the majority of the players ( you know those "oh oh what's this months flavor!" ) and looking at the above facts... I can safely say
tactical merc is severely OP in a majority of cases unless your build specifically counters them which if it does odds are it can't beat most other classes...

SO tactical merc = most op builds currently ( seriously spam tech +20 armor/ PA with huge amounts of tech 8+ SS poison/ any bot really and what not is seriously just flat out ridiculous...

ValkyrieKnight -> RE: dominating 1v1 class (6/28/2013 23:10:26)

@ Rein

The reason I'm so whinny about Tact Merc is because since their passive gives physical defense they don't have to worry about it so they can pour all their stats into technology, on top of that since they also don't have to worry as much about physical defense they can also add bonus energy defense onto their gear meaning they always have +25 energy recovery. This also combos with most Tact Mercs having level 4 and 5 Field Medic because even if you drain their energy they'll simply recover it back and you can't stop their healing. It's the ultimate loop everything cheap class. Add more insult to the other classes they gave them a energy draining skill WHILE they have a energy recovering passive? Who thought that was a good idea? Yes TM also has this but they don't have the defense coverage that Tact Mercs have.
