@Jekyll

Oops, I meant botanical hazards. Either way, I think that the bots should be regulated. No item or skill should be designed such that it is spammed at every possible opportunity.

is it me or are the botanical bots the next infernal android? just not nearly as OP

ansh0 -> RE: 2 methods of dealing with botanical hazards (7/1/2013 6:01:46)

It's impossible to win against it when it gets to long fights.

The spammer will always win.

Mother1 -> RE: 2 methods of dealing with botanical hazards (7/1/2013 7:54:43)

@ ANsh0

Incorrect. Had a 12 round fight with one and ended up beating him after the 3rd round of being poisoned. Just got to time your heals better and sometimes go out of your comfort zone to use heal as an effective counter (Which exploding listed as a way to counter this bot.

@Hulk: What you're saying is somewhat difficult to understand for me, so could you mind elaborating? I think I get the gist of it though.

If I'm understanding what you're saying, then your argument is invalid because it's much harder to predict what a tank build will do compared to a glass cannon, particularly in the midgame. In the starting rounds every build's predictable up to around round 2 or 3, but once you hit 5-7 or so it becomes very difficult to read your opponent. What I was saying only applies to those builds that you can pretty much tell what they're going to do all the time.

Giras Wolfe -> RE: 2 methods of dealing with botanical hazards (7/2/2013 15:22:24)

I was pretty shocked at how much poison damage those bots do the first time I saw it. 8 damage a turn for four turns is insane. It's almost as powerful as max venom strike or poison grenade, except its free and can be used by any class as many times as the length of the battle allows. Honestly I've been enjoying it because this is the first time I've seen poison be a mainstream tactic, but it really makes venom strike and poison grenade obsolete, especially considering poisons aren't stackable (which is a good thing, mind you.)
