ansh0 -> Absurdly High Prices for Less Than Stellar Items (7/6/2013 2:22:01)

I'm tired of these crazy prices for mediocre weapons, reskins, bikes and robots.

27k for a reskin?

50k for a bike?

45k for a robot?

Oh and varium prices.

2k for bot.

2k for bike.

It's ridiculous.

Prices really need to be slashed down good.

What say you?

Jekyll -> RE: Absurdly High Prices for Less Than Stellar Items (7/6/2013 2:39:50)

I'm not 100% with you on this. I'm 150%.

Look, I'm a collector who likes items from events, especially rare ones. I don't get items to use them. I get them to keep them. That is why some weapons I have are at their minimum level to keep costs down.

But, with the new set of War items, it is almost impossible. 15K for a Trainyard weapon with no stats, and minimum damage is insanely overpriced. Its now even more expensive than a pre-Omega level 35 Sword which would cost only 14K. On top of that, the Influence Core isn't even useful - it just looks pretty.

I would really like to see prices down, but the devs never listen.

SKRALL213 -> RE: Absurdly High Prices for Less Than Stellar Items (7/6/2013 2:48:05)

I can agree on this too, I mean come on 24k to 50k for a bike that doesn't give any kind of stats or anything special. I can understand somethings but why that much for a useless item? yeah the two new bikes are Awesome but the credits can be used on smarter things like Cores or moving stats around. Or if you got a new item for looks the credits can be used on Cores and Stats. Mostly allot of things on EpicDuel is very over priced unless you remove the damage and stats but it still could be over 10k.

Jekyll -> RE: Absurdly High Prices for Less Than Stellar Items (7/6/2013 2:54:17)

^Actually, I think 25,000 is a reasonable price for a bike.

Paying 50,000 could get me a class change instead of an item which gives me no advantage in battle. Even if it were end-game stuff, 50,000 is an exorbitant price for a bike.

The Incredible Hulk -> RE: Absurdly High Prices for Less Than Stellar Items (7/6/2013 2:56:50)

@jekyll

But they cost time & money to make. Alot of effort has been put on to those bikes. That is the only reason why they are expensive.

ansh0 -> RE: Absurdly High Prices for Less Than Stellar Items (7/6/2013 3:00:38)

Then explain why one bike is costlier than the other.

Takes equal effort and time.

Scyze -> RE: Absurdly High Prices for Less Than Stellar Items (7/6/2013 3:03:47)

I'll tell you guys my theory... Here it is:
spoiler:

EpicDuel has a VAT system!

Mother1 -> RE: Absurdly High Prices for Less Than Stellar Items (7/6/2013 3:04:18)

@ ansh0

isn't it obvious? The better looking more exclusive bikes will cost more while the others will be cheaper. riding around in style isn't cheap you know and the better looking the bike the more expensive it is.

Bloodpact -> RE: Absurdly High Prices for Less Than Stellar Items (7/6/2013 3:04:29)

The only bikes that are 50k are the custom limited bikes that are made from guest artists.

Each is clearly better then regular bikes (cosmetic wise) and are limited quantity.

If you have ever played LoL you know that their skin prices reflect this, you got skins

with just a different color for $2-$5, then you get skins with whole new clothing and/or

effects for like $10, then you get one of a kind unique skins for like $20 then their is that

one skin so far in the category (ultimate) that is just a complete rebuild on the looks sounds

and fell of the characters.[ you get the same skills ,but you feel complete different ]

My advice on any complaints towards these bikes pricing is to go buy the uber cheap one

it goes just as fast as any bike, if you want looks you get what you pay for better looking = more expensive.

ansh0 -> RE: Absurdly High Prices for Less Than Stellar Items (7/6/2013 3:05:17)

But isn't that opinion?

nico0las -> RE: Absurdly High Prices for Less Than Stellar Items (7/6/2013 3:11:20)

I stopped paying for this game a long time ago for this exact reason.
I'm not going to pay and arm and a leg for pictures on a screen. An incentive to actually buy these items would be great, because the prices do NOT match their capabilities.
Agreed with you 100%.

The Incredible Hulk -> RE: Absurdly High Prices for Less Than Stellar Items (7/6/2013 3:12:04)

@ansh0
Then that's you're problem. For a fact I hate bikes in ED but when I saw that gorgeous beautiful bike TrizZz has made; I brought it!

C'mon look at the skyline R33 for example. It doesn't look good but it is expensive or real life stuff such as the ''beetle'' or the ''daihatsu''

SKRALL213 -> RE: Absurdly High Prices for Less Than Stellar Items (7/6/2013 3:22:56)

To me the New bikes Are worth it like hulk said, since look at them, there great! To me bikes aren't worth buying unless its free since like I said why buy something that doesn't give you any stats or cores? Looks are cool but still.

TRizZzCENTRINO -> RE: Absurdly High Prices for Less Than Stellar Items (7/6/2013 3:29:15)

i agree on lowering the price too, the bikes should be around 25k-30k max because they don't have a battle advantage. the robots should cost around 30k-35k, for me i want to see people buy the items they like and not be shunned off by its incredibly high price, if it is a promo item i get that it needs to be somewhat expensive if it is sold ingame, but for normal event rares or limited rares their price should only be around 25k-35k credit range, the low price also acts as an incentive so people would likely to be buying more happily, item/rares collectors ingame would also be happy.

to be honest i did not like my bikes to have such a high price because despite the time and effort i invested in them i would like to see more people ingame with it.

Bloodpact -> RE: Absurdly High Prices for Less Than Stellar Items (7/6/2013 3:34:37)

@Trizz

It's also more rewarding to the people who got your bike to see less people with it for bragging rights

+ originality.

50k is a bit much ,but what a complement to your work seeing as it was decided that it would be in

the 50k category of bikes.
______________________________________________________________________________________

You should create some bikes with less detail in them, so there can be more cool ,more common looking

bikes.

The Incredible Hulk -> RE: Absurdly High Prices for Less Than Stellar Items (7/6/2013 3:39:27)

If they do reduce the credits on a bike. I would like abit of credits back ;D.
Say If I brought it for 50k credits & the bike was then reduced to 30k. I would want 20k of my credits back.

TRizZzCENTRINO -> RE: Absurdly High Prices for Less Than Stellar Items (7/6/2013 3:39:44)

yeah the botanical bike was in the 50k category, personally i would like the price to be lower, people always love to collect new items especially when lots of them comes out at the same time, and it would make people frustrated and angry if they can only get one out of 8-10 of these cool looking items because of its absurd price, the varium price should be a bit lower as well, 1.9k varium is just too much, it just makes you use up your varium too quickly. i like seeing players happy everytime they get new things that's why i support this because i used to feel the same way when new stuff comes out and they are really expensive.

Jekyll -> RE: Absurdly High Prices for Less Than Stellar Items (7/6/2013 3:44:50)

If the price of bikes were reduced, I would have lost a boatload of credits given the number of bikes I have. Still, I look forward to this possibility because it will be for the greater good.

From what I see, the devs insert new bikes into the game as a means to drain money out of the game to reduce possible credit-inflation. But given how the demand for bikes is price-elastic, lowering the price will actually result in more people buying them, and more money taken out of the game.

From my point of view, it will be better, both for the players and the game if the price of bikes were to be reduced since the total amount spent on them will undoubtedly increase. People are more likely to buy a 30,000 bike than a 50,000 one.

TRizZzCENTRINO -> RE: Absurdly High Prices for Less Than Stellar Items (7/6/2013 3:49:36)

yes that's my logic, low price would encourage people to buy more because they feel that it is more worth it, lower ingame varium price would also encourage people buying varium packages because they can get more items and cores they like without feeling that their 10k varium is going to run out after they had just bought 2 items(getting more out of the money they spent).

the current price should stay as they are, just that in the future the items released should be no higher than 35k credits and 1.2k varium

The Incredible Hulk -> RE: Absurdly High Prices for Less Than Stellar Items (7/6/2013 3:50:17)

And it is originally TrizZz's idea so he can change the price of his bike since he originally created it; so if he wants the dev's to change it; he can since the devs didn't create the item.

Bloodpact -> RE: Absurdly High Prices for Less Than Stellar Items (7/6/2013 3:52:49)

^

Playing that card will only cause harm to his ability to get his items in-game

Jekyll -> RE: Absurdly High Prices for Less Than Stellar Items (7/6/2013 3:55:55)

To add to Trizz's point, there is the incentive issue; two possible situations:

1) I'm getting too little out of my 10K varium, so I will buy more to satisfy my needs, and I will play more ED to get credits.

2) I'm getting too little out of my varium, there is no point in buying varium anymore, and neither is there reason to play ED for credits.

Personally, I think the drop in player numbers is testament to Number 2, and no, it is not too late to halt this trend. Lower prices, and I'm sure the devs will notice a change.

it is 100% not wise to do that. plus i have no power with the cost of items, im just an artist

yes i have been talking to a few of the players ingame and the main issue is this, they simply think that it is not worth buying varium or farming to get credits because of how expensive things are in omega, so yeah lowering the credit/varium price on items is the first step to bring more players to the game, second is giving us more things to be occupied with

The Incredible Hulk -> RE: Absurdly High Prices for Less Than Stellar Items (7/6/2013 4:00:54)

It's like ASDA for example. They are still in buisness with low prices.

kosmo -> RE: Absurdly High Prices for Less Than Stellar Items (7/6/2013 4:15:29)

Best bike is Dage s blood rider, awesome look and only 30k
