Dual Thrusters -> Massacre Buff Ideas (7/7/2013 22:07:59)

Today I made a massacre build for 2v2. At first it was working pretty well! The turn before massacre was ready, my partner who was a support tlm empowered me with a field medic. Hehehe, time to whoop a noob >:D. I use level 1 massacre on an opponent with 58 tech........and my massacre did 28 damage O_O. With field commander I had 100 strength.......

So any ideas to buff massacre?

I have to ask how much damage were you expecting with a level 1 massacre? With the nerf to strength and massacre even with 100 strength I am not surprised you got so little. The made the nerf like that so you would have to invest skill points into it to get decent damage so that honestly sounds about right.

Cause from what I am looking at 100 strength give you 19-23 damage plus your primary. 58 tech gives 19-23 resist so right there primary damage without the weapon extra stats cancel each other out.

Also what was your opponent's class? Cause if they were a merc or a cyber hunter with passive armor that can factor in as well since you will lose 5 damage for a merc and 10 for a cyber hunter (warrant they have their passive armors max out.)

Invest points? Yea, last I checked unless you keep massacre low level, your opponents cant easily drain your energy to stop it. Plus investing more in technology weakens your other stats, and glass cannons don't work anymore.

Oh, and the guy I used massacre on was a Str-Supp Tech Mage.

Buffing massacre won't help with the way strength progression is now. if they did a slight nerf on diminishing returns for strength then massacre would get an indirect buff from this.

You can't base an idea of buffing something if it's only level 1 .............

Massacre isn't a good 2v2 build. If you use it in 1v1 on at least lvl 5 it'll work better for you.

Compare the massacre lvl 1 to other lvl 1 ultimates. 28 dmg is reasonable...kinda.

I think they should add the steal 30% rage to massacre because the others have that and massacre doesnt... or is it already added?

Massacre doesn't need a buff. Just like any other ultimate skill, a modest amount of skill points (at least 4) is now needed for it to be effective.
