Archlord Raistlin -> Graphics overload (7/9/2013 10:53:01)

Does anyone get the feeling that all these "battle failed to start's" are related to the
graphics of each player being shown in their own area? E.G. I just played jolie, who
is not in the same area as I am, yet my background was correct for the area I was in.

Do we all have individual backgrounds for the area we are currently in? Could this be
the cause of so many battles failing to start? Some glitch in setting the backgrounds, etc...?

I don't know what you're talking about, because I'm not experiencing this problem at all. Maybe it's your connection?

Yes

No, I had like 100 battle failed to start at the end of the delta phase.

Maybe

Plus it would be hard to solve the issue for this. They don't have spare time in their hands to fix this graphical bug since it is very hard to crack & decode. If I was them; I would just leave the issue. There's other things to worry about rather then this. Like why are they losing a lot of big spenders in the game? How would they get them back? Any other ways of getting them back? Maybe a new level cap? Maybe new game modes? Maybe change the power creep a bit from varium to non-varium?

Ehh back in the days varium was so luxurious to have. But now it's just nothing.....

Edit:
They might aswell just give xP booster and credits booster to sell for credits 'Ey? Since nearly the whole entire game is full of stuff that; you can buy stuff with credits more then varium nowadays.

Well thanks for the feedback... at least now I have some idea what might be contributing to this.

I have also had battle fails before this war, but not to this extent. I did look at the
suggestion thread on this and ran one of the recommended "ping" tests of your system.
My result was a "B" on my wireless connection, so I'm pretty sure it is not my computer.
These fails are so random...it might happen once every 3 times, then a couple in a row,
then run fine for awhile...very frustrating when you know your 2v2 battle has just turned
into a hopeless 2v1.

Edit: so sorry to any partners I may have burned along the way...

I got a C on the speed test but I don't lag out much. Weird.

The Incredible Hulk -> RE: Graphics overload (7/10/2013 3:01:12)

Speed test or not; it doesn't matter if you got the best connection; since if you play ED you will most likely lag out due to the incapability of the Epic server. I know that something is wrong with that server. EHH, I GOT AN A!

Sig removed. Please use it once per page. ~Mecha

Did a test today...

Set graphics to low and ran the whole range of battle animation settings. Turned off all toggle options. Faster performance max seemed to help the most, although I hate playing that way. No improvement lately, alot of battles failing to start in last 2 days :/

Any other tips anyone can think of? Maybe hit the left eye of the skull face? :/

I also played about a dozen 1v1 matches...not one problem getting into any 1v1 match. Something
is bogging down 2v2 and it needs to be addressed. We need help. You cannot get more unfair than
a 2v1 massacre due to a battle fail.

Thanks again ED for letting us 2v2 players down... Can ya not even say you're workin on it?

NDB -> RE: Graphics overload (7/10/2013 18:14:37)

WHen the attle fails to start, the player that you were supposed to fight still sees you, and on their screen you run. Therefore, the battle did not fail to start even though the error message says so--you simply got kicked out for some reason. And it does count as a loss, which is extremely irritating.
