Harvester Of Souls -> RE: Locker Password (7/11/2013 3:57:01)

I'd like to support this, yea sure it can cause trouble, but maybe limiting the trading feature with a minimum level for trading, could potentially make it better. So you can't trade alts at lvl 1, giving them a huge advantage over nooblets, and that would also limit the trade to more experienced players, so new people wouldn't be able to trade away all their stuff, or even get scammed by other players. -Making it so that you can't trade varium is obvious. -Maybe adding some kind of warning that ALWAYS shows up, explaining that you should NEVER click on links offering free gold or etc. Even though alot of players are aware of this hassle, it does for the most part trouble younger players who aren't aware scamming and goldfarming. -This could potentially add a market for players to buy their sought after rares, making them rise in value over normal shops. Even though im in support of this, it sure does cause alot of problems. 1. Scamming 2. Goldfarming 3. Hacking 4. Requires time dealing with, which means we will be seeing alot less updates to the game[:(] Sure it's fun getting that sword or armor you've always wanted, but the trouble caused by noobs getting hacked means you'd have to wait many more weeks until the next update or patch comes out. Even though giving this trading feature a password, let's be honest, if someone is stupid enough to actually give away their password or get keylogged and then write their password for example, it doesn't matter if you've a password to unlock that password and so on, the hacker could just demand someone giving him that password over skype. Which is a common way to add ingame friends to, and then send them a link, which the noob clicks on, which in turn means that the hacker has got all control over his account, threatening to get banned, drop all stuff if he doesn't get that trading password. Im seeing as this is an Artix game, and what I know(atleast have the impression) about people on these games which I've played for ages, ALOT of people would get hacked, cry and eventually quit. Which is something Epicduel does NOT need whatsoever. [:(] I do however have an idea! [;)] -If you can't get gear from another account personally, or trade items with someone you know. There is a possibility to actually add a feature similar to an auctionhouse, which means you can get the items you wanted but from a system. This doesn't completely diminish the possiblity for a hacker to send away gold or items, but it does make it a bit harder. This trading system works in this way: You put in (Soul Harvester) into the system, and set the amount of gold you want someone to pay for it, if no one pays that sum of gold, your items keeps waiting until someone offers the right amount of cash. When someone buys your items, the game will inform you of this, and you will loose your weapon (Soul Harvester) and instead give the amount of credits you wanted for you item. -This system does also limit people from goldfarming and makes hacking a bit less profitable, and more time consuming.[;)] I've got mixed opinions on this feature, but as im well aware of hackers and scamming from other games, im not worried about anything. Instead im curious on how much time it will take from the devs to explain this to noobs who will constantly be getting hacked. Those in the comments who can't remember their email or password, write it down, it's really not something to complain about, or even use as a motivation why this feature shouldn't be in the game[:@]
