The location where the Engineer was placed was double checked, it is not another case of the Goblin getting mistakenly forgotten. I was reassured it is in the game "somewhere indoors" do keep searching.

Hmm, the Wiki seems to show Volt Engineer standing on the road outside. Maybe one of the devs was having a laugh and only meant inside as in "inside the realm of Oversoul" or something.

After 50 battles in the inn and nightmare dungeon, and 20 battles in nightmare's boss place, Labyrinth and undead lab being excluded (first being earth exclusive, second shadow exclusive), ogre and orc camp excluded, this pretty much leave the chance the appearance-rate is 1 to a gazillion, thus it is easier to just wait the official info then wasting time looking after something noone saw despite intensively looking for it.
