I remember when RabbleFroth said in one of his posts, this feature will come with a price, but sincerely, I don't think 1250 Var will be an obstacle for many unloyal players to swtich alignments and make an unbalance in the war again. You sold the war for a cheap price mate.

And you can see that clearly in the war map, the aftermath of this feature is already here, well done.

You're assuming everyone will care about the War and its outcome and decide to use 1,250 Varium to gain advantage that is non-existant but a storyline and bragging rights because your side has won. For some players, this isn't good enough to bother switching.

I thought the point with the whole alignment-changing-restrictions that came last war, was because players shouldnt have the possibility to jump to the side which is winning. This was imo a real cheap move, and as per usual, gamebreaking.

This feature was forbidden in Frysteland and Infernal wars, for many reasons, "Logicial reasons", and to make the dread plains war even more worse, they figured out to make players run from their losing alignment to the winning one, yeah, nice solution, It's really working, you can check the map war again to see.

If we go back to the old legion vs exile only battles, then there wouldn't be a problem of being outnumbered. Actually, it would be in legion's favor because they get to fight more exiles, while the exiles must wait 30minutes to find a match >:D

No it wouldn't. I say this because for every legion player who finds a battle an exile one will as well since it will be legion vs exile and nothing more.

I personally find that the price is a little cheap for some players, and that it should be raised.

Also, it kinda makes me feel bad to see that there are so many unloyal players out there. However, I at first thought that, while there are many legion players switching to exile, the reverse could also happen, and that some exiles would switch to legion. Just considering one of 2 possibilities involving switching makes the idea presented seem biased. But even so, i'm mostly hurt by the amount of backstabbers there are who seemed to switch. It kind of stings to think about what friends in a faction think, how they would feel about them just leaving.

Before enacting the alignment switching feature, we did worry players would massively "jump ship" to the Exiles side just for the winning aspect. Thankfully this isn't the case. Rabble brought up data that showed a roughly even amount of players are switching to Legion and Exiles equally since the feature came out. Admittedly, something I was kinda surprised by. I had thought ( and worried ) that it would tip to far in favor of the Exiles too.

So why are Exiles winning? In my opinion they are just playing harder and are more organized currently. And the difference isn't by a whole lot, Legion has every ability to take winning control from Exiles right now if they start organizing better. I just think its a matter of morale on the Legion side at the moment. There is a feeling of hopelessness I get from Legion members, when really your not to far behind. Legion just needs to find that momentum and hold on to it. Exiles shouldn't be feeling they are on could 9 either. There are some very dedicated Legion factions on the Exiles heals that they should definitely be concerned by.

@Charfade (oops! :p) I can think of 3 or 4 Legion factions that are active.

THE LOVE
The Battalion
Naughty Nightmare
Legion Army (kinda)

Exile's Guap and Vivid can, combined, out-influence our top 4 on a good day. Then they have Spartan Warriors and many other factions only active on certain days (Kebabs killerteam, Dream Exiles [yesterday]

Of course, maybe, as you said, Legion just isn't giving 100%.

That is charfade Not Cinderella but still Charfade hit the nail on the head since at the beginning of the war a few days in legion did win a few days in a row.

@Charfade: I would be pleased to see this data... because technically I don't think it's possible, unless no one changed.
I also have a point of vue right here, Why Exiles are winning?
frankly, the dread plains is way more different from the infernals' and frystelands' wars, so what you tried to do in this war is to make the confrontation between the both alignments less, hows that? by regions, unlike infernal and frsyteland wars, the both alignments, went face to face, reactor in frysteland and vaults in infernal, now the things is, regions are worst than face to face confrontations, I'll tell you why, players won't have a target, and each one will play on his own, I personally have my own faction, (just for me) but atleast I try to help my alignment whenever I feel its in need, but some others won't, due to many reasons, some don't even give a crack, some don't even know if there is such an event going on, and others playing for theirselves, and I mean by that, regional achievements, once he gets one, he doesn't care if his side is winning or not he moves on to the next region, so organizing thing is way too far, communication between factions are lost, I don't know if its the same thing in Exile part, but Imma tell you organizing and communication is useless when all the regions are controlled by one 1 side, so a face-to-face confrontation could of been better, at least you know where you have to play, funny thing is, I see some players trying to help while the objectif is on cooldown, yeah thanks for the help.

Yeah one thing, I'm still curious about the reason why you brought up this feature, you said you brought it because of the players?, I'll tell you who are those players, they are betrayers from legion side who wanted to pay for their switch, well it's good for you, since there is spending.

Well she just said that Legion is losing because not a lot of players are putting effort in the war. Here's proof:

As you can see, Exiles' lower tier factions are gaining more influence than Legion's high tier. The data there is not affected by the amount of players, it's affected by their effort and performance. The numbers of either side mean nothing. So now do you see why Legion is failing?

It's not that we're outnumbered. We are all just a bunch of noobs!

Most requests for reasons of switching were actually legitimate reasons. Either they accidentally got suck into an alignment they didn't want to be in or made new friends were in the other alignment and wanted to be with them.

Sure your going to have the few that want to switch to be on the winning side, but honestly, as the data shows, very few of the ED player base did this. Remarkably low.

Remember Alignment switching is gated by 30 day wait period and is a Varium only feature.

Also remember you could switch alignments in the Frysteland War. Mostly players did it to get the extra achievement, not because they wanted to be on the winning side. Which is why we will not be adding an alignment switching achievement.

Currently there is no extra in game advantage for switching alignment, the rewards by design are available to all players currently no matter which alignment side they choose. If they want the shop in the dread plains, all a player has to do is fight for it and get it. That is much more logical and less of a hassle than switching alignments for.

It really is just the Exiles are playing harder and smarter atm. And Like I said, Legion has every chance to make a comeback.

Am I the only one seeing this?

Of course it's low at this moment, since there is a 30 day wait period.
If you think just for one single second, it's easy to find out that all the aligment switching will happen in the very last days.

Basic knowledge people.. (not personal directed to you char :P)

Seems like a waste of var to switch because all I can see from winning the war is a cheevo...

If someone were to switch they must be dedicated, or wanted to switch because they dislike their current alignment.

There iS no winning this war. No progress bar. This isn't a war, it's a new feature.

While I give them points for trying something new, this "war" as they call it feels no different then everyday play. The old wars felt like wars, since as Cinderella said it in the infernal war we had a given "meat and Potato's" Where as here all we do is do what we normally do everyday.

There are no missions in this war where as in the old wars there were war missions even if they were to just beat players in PVP for an objective, and last but not least the cheevo's they have aren't worth it. I mean sure the war cheevos in the last wars took hard work like this one, but the gaps between them as well as the rating you got was reasonable. Where as here you need 3000 Influence for a 400 rating cheevo and to get 600 rating you need 10,000. See something wrong here?

A clear objective, a progress meter, fun missions, and reasonable rating cheevos for the amount of work people put into them would help this war big time. Every other war (Be it legion versus exile or Exile and legion versus an unknown foe) Had at least the the first two things I mentioned from the start and the legion versus exile wars had the first two and the final thing I said from the start. This war however doesn't.

So far, the war is pretty much a way to introduce the change from battle tokens to credits. Aside from that, like mother said, it's just everyday play with low-rating cheevos awarded.

Until the wars offically starts, I'm sure we will have a lot of problems to deal with.
