Locking this up since this is not really a suggestion, nor helpful at all! If you are experiencing lag, then there are quite a few steps you can try to take to minimise it. You cannot purely base it on the game, since it does contribute, but the computer and internet connection are the main issues - internet speed being the main one. It is understood that not everyone can have super fast fibre optic broadband or anything like that, however if people do not have fast internet, they have to accept that even with an amazing PC, you will experience some lag. I can say this because I, myself, had bad internet that made the game lag a lot. I then upgraded my internet to a much faster provider, and it instantly made the game play much faster, on the same PC. This being a basic laptop, using an AMD equivalent to an i3 processor, a low to mid range graphic card and 3GB RAM. Nothing majorly special, but it did the job and when I played the game, sure I played with low graphics and some of the options turned off, but I experienced very little lag because of it, mainly due to my new internet. I then upgraded laptop and got one with an i7 processor, mid-high range graphic card and 8GB RAM. Now I experience no lag, or very little lag when playing with all the settings on and high graphics. The only lag I do tend to get is due to playing against slower players, or possibly in a really full room and even then it is minimum. Now I am by no means saying everyone should go out and purchase super fast internet and a top-notch laptop/desktop, since not everyone has the means to do this, it can be expensive and may require you to be in a certain location that can be provided to. However, my point is that if you are struggling lag wise, it cannot be purely blamed on the game. I know my experience certainly proves to me, not sure about you guys, that the computer and internet are the main contributes. If you feel the lag is overwhelming, see if you can possibly get a faster internet provider or option and/or a better PC. If not, clear your cache regularly, try to make sure your computer has a fair amount of free hard drive space and is not overwhelmed with loads and loads of programs running at the same time - try just having ED open on its own. Any of these could certainly help!
