i farmed for level 60, 70 and i have the essences for level 80. That's right: 56 essences total.

Didn't take that long actually. You can easily get that within 6 hours assuming each quest takes 2 minutes (they actually are done faster than that anyway)

Can't wait to be able to actually save this thing. Deathknight was my main class for a long time before it got too outdated.

Doomknight/Riftwalker are getting way too boring except for farming. Might actually re-do all the quests with this class.

2 more days to go...

Would it be possible to either buff the damage, or increase its crit rate?

With each of the recent classes, multis deal between 120 and 140 (150 for Paladin against undead), none of them are element locked.
Against an elemental enemy with even -30, a 120% multi becomes effectively 156% damage.

Now, this might not sound like a lot, but when an (average) 140 goes against a -30, it soars to 182.
With an evil-locked 150%, you're only ever going to get 150% damage against an enemy.

Granted, DK is better than most other classes in multi battles against no-weakness enemies, but there are far more multi fights with elemental weaknesses than there are not.

Maybe just a +20 to crit? [:)]

It's not meant to be "bursty" so most likely not.

Swords of Eternity can deal darkness element so I guess that is just black light :e
I thought it was pretty weird that both Necro and Pally don't have locked multis, but DK did.

Granted, Rogue and Warrior used to, but those also changed for balance rather than flavor.

So far I've kinda liked the passive DoT and HoT, great for a tiny damage boost for boss battles on ExtremeMode.

The multi is still element lock as long as I dont hit mobs with Darkness :) i should be fine.

Dark Rite 3 turns ? reasonable but could be buff just a tiny bit more not to overpower it

So far ive love the DoT and HoT, going against bosses on extreme mode :) gives a little dmg boost

Dark rite 3 turns ? Reasonable but could use abit buff just a tiny bit not to be overpowered though

Multi still locks on darkness element as long as i dont hit any mobs resisting to it, cant it be changed to the element say... EBIL !! ??

I feel like saying Unholy Shadow is the worst Multi in the game is a stretch. It didn't really strike me as being better or worse than any other Multi, and I don't really feel like Death Knight is about the multi-target aspect in the first place. Not to mention that being Evil locked means that -- while you cannot take advantage of Resistances -- your Multi will only be less effective against an opponent that has All Resistance.

Yeah, Death Knight's Multi isn't really the best. But does it need to be?

I think people were just waiting to see the exact amount of damage that Shadow dealt.
If it was say, 200%, then the need for it to be element locked would be completely justified as 200 would ensure being strong against most things, but always equally strong against everything.

Probably the worst multi in the game is Ninja or Pirate because they hit for 100% metal.

Well most multi attacks you can choose the element which means you do more damage.

Never said it was THE worst, but it is severely limited

That being said, all classes aren't supposed to be equal after all. This could be one of DK's weaker points. Better a locked multi than no multi at all.

There are other classes with element locked multi attacks such as kathool with a 200% water locked multi and dragonlord with a 100% energy locked multi.

On the other hand it being locked helps if you're using the full set. You'd want that extra damage. But if you are fight darkness resistant monsters that Multi helps!

@Mr G W: Unholy Shadow is definitely better than Energy Dragon Spirit since its damage is higher and little to no enemies are strong against its Element.

Tidal Wave is debatable since its Element is common enough to have Resistance against, but has raised base damage.

Unholy Shadow is indeed limited, but I would not be hasty to make such a comparison. It does its job well enough.

I kinda prefer a 2 turns unholy cd rather than a damage buff. In most normal multiple battles, you're going to kill everything if you crit (except the main target).
I would like to request a 1 or 2 turn cooldown reduction in garb because I'm finding that the defensive aspect of the class is a bit worse than the offensive.

Garb already provides four turns of protection, right? A shorter cooldown means that you would be shielded for the whole half of an entire battle.

are you sure? Because when I use it I always get 2 turns. 2 turns of protection and 9 of cooldown. If it was 4/9 as you say I'm ok with it.

I admittidly don't know about this stuff, but wouldn't the Multi get a buff to damage for being element locked? In that case being locked to evil is not that bad since you sacrifice the elemental resist for more damage.

I find it amusing that Fear and Curse damage were some of the rarest seen elements (only be found on Mana elementals and on colored tog pets) are now common due to the necromancer and deathknight classes
