Not just for the reason Dual Thruster's stated, but also because this weapon is available for all for credits. There is no need to make a core to turn the four unique weapons with this core worthless.

Only shotguns get the core :p so only one other sidearm would be able to use it anyways.[that doesn't already have spreadfire.

That'd mean they have to change every single Gun in-game + future ones to have Spreadfire attack. Waaaay too much work for no gain or whatsoever.
