Mother1 -> positives about the dreaded war (8/12/2013 23:56:27)

So far in the forums I have been hearing a lot of negatives about this war, heck even I am guilty of doing this. However this thread isn't about that. This thread is to list some positives you can think about for this war.

What positives can you think about for this war? Here is one for me.

Thanks to the dread war and the influence cores, I am now using a lot of my old weapons that have passive core slots open for extra influence.

Dual Thrusters -> RE: positives about the dreaded war (8/13/2013 0:03:24)

I have no clue if it's my new build, but 2v2 fights in the war suddenly became more intense!

Also, I'm close to reaching my next star thanks to the Cheevos.

And I'm loving the swords!

Drangonslayer -> RE: positives about the dreaded war (8/13/2013 0:07:26)

Pretty much free cheevos for pvping, well as long as you win. Jugg Button <3 Finally.

CN2025 -> RE: positives about the dreaded war (8/13/2013 1:52:39)

heck lot of cheevos around 10 o.o

EpicIsEpic -> RE: positives about the dreaded war (8/13/2013 5:57:27)

CN2025 -> RE: positives about the dreaded war (8/13/2013 6:06:12)

new improved way to capture a flag(objective) using influence instead of paying tokens

Q...Q -> RE: positives about the dreaded war (8/13/2013 6:54:25)

Artillery fire power.

This Seems A Lot More Like A Faction System Revamp And Partial Revival Of The War Cannons Then An Actual War Event.

Prior War Events Had Clear Beginnings And Endings And Were Heavily Tied Into Story Lines.

This War Is More About How Influence And Battles Effect Factions And Alignments.

The Only Thing That Makes It Seem Like A War Event Are The Ranking Achievements, Which Are A Nice Addition.

This Is A Faction/Flag/Cannons Revamp. Make No Mistake About That.

The Numerous Capture Points Gives A Busy And Exciting Feel To The Game. But I Also Feel It Could Be Very Confusing To Newer Players.

The Focus Of This War Was Obviously More About Changing The Purpose Behind Faction And Alignment Battles... Not Story Driven "Event" Incentives.

Lycan. -> RE: positives about the dreaded war (8/13/2013 9:29:02)

positive:-
- Quicker map

Negative:-
- have to stay in a ceratain place to capture a flag so no going to my home in private anymore -.-

8x -> RE: positives about the dreaded war (8/14/2013 8:26:25)

The war is a nice revamp of the old faction war system.

Chosen 0ne -> RE: positives about the dreaded war (8/14/2013 10:43:11)

I truly don't understand the point to this thread mother. Listing things we like doesn't give the Devs anything. What we need is a thread about the things we don't like about the war and provide positive feedback.

But unfortunately the ED community can't handle that type of discussion yet. But all I see here are people kissing up to the Devs/mods. I don't think the community gains from this. I've literally seen people say things on the forums, and then in game they would say that they've only said that because they wanted the Devs and mods to like them. Lieing isn't the way to go about it if you ARE going to kiss up, but what this game really needs is feedback negative or positive, on everything in the game.

Edit: The word is feedback everyone. Lol

Lord Machaar -> RE: positives about the dreaded war (8/14/2013 10:54:10)

You know it will stay for long enough to get all achievements [:D]

Shajun Ki -> RE: positives about the dreaded war (8/14/2013 10:55:35)

^Thank you chosen, at least you don't kiss up to the devs like everyone else here.

Calogero -> RE: positives about the dreaded war (8/14/2013 13:43:57)

Most, if not all can't state their negative feedback in a orderly way, which ends up the person's post getting deleted and
probably ignored for the rest of the time...

People don't like to hear negative things either so that doesn't really help aswell...

Dual Thrusters -> RE: positives about the dreaded war (8/14/2013 15:39:54)

The Devs can't just have all negative criticism, you know. As much as it helps, congratulating them on their good works can encourage them more.

Shajun Ki -> RE: positives about the dreaded war (8/14/2013 18:07:55)

I see why the devs don't care to look at these forums much, almost everything here is biased opinion or immature kids wanting things going their way and pointless/dumb posts.

The flag capture revamp thing was good but I expected more than just faction revamps this summer.

Dual Thrusters -> RE: positives about the dreaded war (8/14/2013 19:05:20)

Since when did I say an immature/dumb/biased post in this thread?

FYI, the Devs check these forums all the time. They just don't post.

Exploding Penguin -> RE: positives about the dreaded war (8/14/2013 19:25:53)

Chosen is somewhat right; while thanks, praise, and showing of appreciation is something everyone wants and most of the time deserves, this thread has somewhat little meaning.

The negatives are most of the time constructive so while they are negative, they are most definitely helping the war become better, or at least the people who post their "negative" criticism are trying to make ED more fun for everyone.

The war was a great way to introduce the new faction system and phasing out of battle tokens.

Shajun Ki -> RE: positives about the dreaded war (8/14/2013 20:28:18)

@Dual, I wasn't referring to your post I was saying that in general. You don't have proof the devs check these forums all the time, they may tell us that but I doubt they check the forums more than once a week.

Thylek Shran -> RE: positives about the dreaded war (8/14/2013 23:15:43)

Maybe the Dread War is giving the devs enough time to work on class balance and better content.
That would be positive.
Not that the war is bad but it is pretty boring with just 2 alignments and does not feel like a
competition. I like the tiered achievement system but thats not something new. Its just bigger
in the Dread War with those many locations and the flag capture hunt. That keeps the players
busy which should be positive.
