So, in my personal experience, Epic Duel gets VERY boring once you've managed to reach level cap. Fair enough it doesn't take a lot of wins to get to level 35, but it's boring. Now, I'm not saying the amount of wins to reach level cap should be lowered, because it already has been lowered previously. That's not the problem I have with the game, I can easily torture myself through 5000 battles in order to get the max amount of skill and stat points to play with. My only problem with Epic Duel, is that there's not a whole lot to do once you reach level 35. There isn't really anything that encourages the player to continue on battling for wins aside from earning credits for achievements and new weapons, or earning better ranks, which usually requires thousands of more wins. And even once you've gotten a higher rank, it doesn't really feel satisfying because it's not gonna unlock anything new, aside from a slightly different badge on your player card.

What I'd like to suggest, is a way to encourage players to keep battling once they hit level cap. Basically, it's the idea of rewarding players with exclusive cores that you unlock as you win more battles. It could be something like a win counter that starts from 0 once you've hit level cap, and as you win more battles, these wins are converted into points that you unlock new cores with. These cores should not be availible in shops, only through the win system. There could even be different kind of cores for different kind of win points, I'm talking about 1v1, 2v2 and Juggernaut 2v1 wins. Say you reached level 35, you've bought yourself a Juggernaut silver/gold card, and you win 500 jugger battles, this automatically gives you 500 JUGGERNAUT points to unlock special cores with. DIFFERENT cores from the ones you'd unlock with your 1v1 and 2v2 points. This basically encourages people to try out different battle modes, instead of staying in 1v1 because it is "faster" and you're not dependent on your team mate screwing up or not.

I don't know about you guys, but personally the only joy I find in being level 35 is playing around with different builds and being able to max out the skills that I find useful. Being level 1-34 IS NOT FUN, because you'll have to fight players who are either higher level than you, or lower which most often ends with a guaranteed win. Like I said, the level cap is easy enough to reach, but it is boring. And it's not exactly fun to have hit level cap either, imo.

Leave suggestions below for the win point system, or just tell me what's wrong with it, whatever works.

We do have them. They're called credits.

@Dual Thrusters, Well, yes and no, you're kind of missing the point of my suggestion but that's alright. I think there's a major difference between unlocking cores the current way and the way I'm suggesting, seeing as they're unlockable with varium. Players could easily unlock all current availbile cores with varium, and this doesn't exactly encourage players to PvP after they reach level cap.

Exploding Penguin -> RE: Unlocking cores with x amount of wins (8/16/2013 13:03:57)

I previously thought the same thing too so I suggested that achievements are actually relevant to their title, and it was supported, but never implemented. For example, to get the EMP achievement, rather than spending credits on it, you can ONLY get it from removing a total of 500 energy from opponents with energy-removing skills.

CN2025 -> RE: Unlocking cores with x amount of wins (8/16/2013 17:50:32)

supported but this should be implemented on a mission like 500 wins and the reward is a core or some thing
