So I know this more or less goes within the field of balance, and there's probably good reasons behind how the stat/skill system works today. But I'd like to suggest we let players invest stat points freely without having to worry about required stats for certain skills?

For instance level 10 Smoke Screen requires 33 support on BH, but improves with Technology. At the very least let it IMRPOVE with the stat it actually requires to function? I mean, at this point you're really just forcing me to put stat points in Support when maybe, just maybe my build doesn't even rely on Support in the first place. And what if another BH with a different kind of build, who uses smoke screen, benefits greatly from support, whereas I don't? Isn't this a bit unfair? You could bring up the subject of stat abuse, and while that is true it doesn't really make a good argument as each build is different, whether it relies on putting stat points in all areas or not. If you invested 45 stat points in all areas and got yourself a nice 5 Focus bonus, good for you! But what about the rest of us.

It's as if the game encourages everyone to use a /balanced/ stat build, seeing as you'll get to actually deal some damage with your robot this way. Where is the fun in everyone having 45 of each stat, I mean that's obviously the best option as you can actually put your robot to good use while at the same time have no problems whatsoever with skills requiring stats you have no need for.

Idk, there probably is a reason for it? But I genuinely don't see it, haha?

NOT SUPPORTED! This causes OP builds.

@Tehmages

What. That doesn't make any sense? Stat abuse isn't necessarily good nor bad. If a player put all their stat points into, say strenght, they'd be left with no defences, which is bad in itself. Not to mention it takes more stat points to make a stat improve as you invest more points in it, so that does in fact slow it down? Besides, if player A abuses strenght, player B could be abusing dexterity and technology, so the overall damage output wouldn't even be that great? I'm not encouraging stat abuse, I just think it's ridiculous some builds benefit from the way it is now while others don't.

Edit: Freedom within stat attribution = More build variety

Well let's say that you put 95% skills to dex and 5% to resistance and +10 armor to resistance. That would be unlikely really easy to win.

@Tehmages, then make the amount of stat points required for each stat to improve higher, that way you wouldn't be able to have a ridiculous amount of defences/strenght, while at the same time have the freedom to improve the stats you actually need for your build.

Edit: Idk if that made much sense, but basically as it is right now you need 8 stat points to improve a stat as long as you've invested a lot in it. Increase this.
