Cores should be removable. I bought a core thinking that I would be able to switch them over once I got my new sidearm, I got it, and I couldn't, so I basically wasted 10k credits buying the core or have to buy another core for another 10k which is a complete waste of my credits thus a waste of my time.

Dual Thrusters -> RE: Cores (8/17/2013 23:12:41)

Agreed, you can't even replace cores ATM, which is unfortunate for rare items.

AQisFuN -> RE: Cores (8/17/2013 23:53:11)

I have to agree. I want to switch cores over. So that I don't want to keep buying new cores for new weapons.
It's a PAIN IN THE NECK!!!!!

@ dual

It was already said in the design notes that certain rare items would never have their cores unlocked for the soul purpose of having these rares keep their identities.

@mother

I don't mean the locked cores.

Like in platinum's pride. Once you equip deflection shield you're stuck with it. You can't just buy another one because its rare.

CN2025 -> RE: Cores (8/18/2013 0:26:00)

make it you can replace non rare cores because i switch alot too this should be made into a feature asap because its one of those WOW factors

Exploding Penguin -> RE: Cores (8/18/2013 1:38:52)

Honestly, I don't really see the point of this thread because it's obvious that pretty much everyone wants cores to be "items" that can be switchable excluding select locked cores, and this is an already known fact by the developers.

And it's not that big of an issue. Aim assist is obviously the superior passive sidearm/aux core even though it came out later, and frost shards is a very strong active primary core, but only a few select like those would bring up problems. If you bought meteor shower then you should be pretty satisfied with it, and changing builds honestly won't affect how important the core is.

Supported. It would help save credits when replacing cores.
