DeathGuard -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 130 - READ THE FIRST POST (9/2/2013 16:31:46)

OS has been dead for some months now. This had made many people quit OS already. They shouldn't had taken OS staff member too much time when GQ should already have previews of what type of features and challenges we have been waiting for. What makes some people post this days has been contest (including me), only reason I came back to posting on forums. How to improve this downside? Stop taking OS staff team too much time with other projects when they should be focusing in their project which is OS. Sacrificing one game's future for other games is like risking one of your son's life to save the other ones. It may not die, but the future won't be too bright like it should have been. If AE doesn't have enough personnel to start or finish a project, they should find a way to finish without affecting other projects. Taking AQW staff members wouldn't have affected it that much, maybe 1 release per 2 weeks, risking AQW which has "great popularity" wouldn't have affect it that much, but OS that is still in testing phase is getting stomped, forgotten and becoming boring. It seems like AE can easily make games that it doesn't really matters if one gets down the drain. Project Omni may be worth, but there's no hurry on making it fast. Project Omni isn't a game, but OS is one. OS is still in progress and if such progress is stopped, the rhythm and few player base it had starts to decrease. For example, if a manga is on hold, the audience of such manga finds new manga to entertain with, people are anxious and won't wait for the manga on hold to come back and in the end no matter how good it will go down the lists and get cancelled. Same is happening for OS. If dedication and support from other AE games aren't coming to OS, it won't have a moderate future, to be said. Some may say this post is selfish, but AE is being more selfish at sacrificing OS's future for the sake of other AE games. If they wanted personnel for Omni Project, they should have taken part of AQW since it is no longer in testing and it has x100 content than OS. AQW getting 1 release per 2 weeks for some months won't hurt it that much but damage to OS is greater than much think.
