"Stat abuse" is a term that's always bugged me because it has a negative connotation. It's not a bad thing to dump most of your stats into one area. Simply put, it's a build choice. To limit these types of builds would make this game more monotonous than it already is.

Anyway, I doubt anyone would say my BH dex build is OP. I lose more matches than I'd like, but it gives me pride knowing I'm not a 5 focus zombie like most players are .... even if I do lose a lot.

@Above
and thats the issue, people call it "stat abusing" if you have plenty of stats into one area.

but they'll also complain about focus later on when a build becomes OP.

and further (yes, further, because they have already done alot) punishing "stat abusers" will only lead to focus builds being used, and eventually stronger since everything else around it, is statistically weaker. (i.e str or support builds)

people who call for nerfs on certain things, often have no idea how it affects the game.

an example of this, is str merc when omega rolled around.

str mercs were a VIABLE build again because
1) HP was reduced, alot.
2) Base energy was increased, allowing for more high powered combos without investment into energy.

dont you remember when energy was like 72 base on mercs? they could easily get a max level berserker with a double strike or stun for 25-27 energy without investing much (if nothing at all) into energy)

the same thing goes for caster mages. in delta you had to have at least 120 energy for a successful caster build.
in omega you only needed base energy and the rest of your stats piled into tech.

because opponents HP was low, and defenses were lower.
