Exploding Penguin -> Hidden Achievements (8/25/2013 13:54:11)

Some secret achievements that are automatically unlocked after completing certain objectives:

Double Crit: Worth 100 Rating points. In one turn, land 2 crits (basically in 2v2/jugg get 2 crits with a single spreadfire/multi attack).
Clutch Kill: Worth 100 Rating points. Defeat the opponent with 1 HP left and not enough energy to use any skills, and generator/any form of healing cannot be used.
Critical Clutch Kill: Worth 250 rating points. You must clutch kill the opponent with a critical hit landed on them, and they must have died from the critical damage boost (meaning if you didn't crit they would have lived).
Last one standing Worth 150 rating points. Eliminate both opponents in 2v2 when your ally has either left the game or has died. Both enemies must have over 50% health, and the level difference in teams must not have been greater than 2.
One-hit KO: Worth 200 rating points. Kill someone in one hit. This means that they cannot be hit previously in 2v2 by your ally (this is actually possible. I was able to 1-hit KO some level 30s in early Omega).
Mega Hitter: Worth 100 rating points. Hit 70+ damage on a single attack.
What is Poison?: Worth 150 rating points. Take 3 poison attacks in a single fight without healing out of any of them (you must survive 3 whole poison attacks that weren't negated from field medic).
Energy Harassment: Worth 125 rating points. Take away all of an opponent's energy when it's at max with one move (basically if they have their max energy, for example, 62, you must take away 62 energy in one move).
Free Stuff!: Worth 100 rating points. Redeem 3 prize codes.
Striking Streak: Worth 125 rating points. Win a 1v1 with a level difference no greater than 1 by only using strike
I Hate Blocks: Worth 100 rating points. Win a 1v1 against an opponent of the same level or higher by only using unblockable attacks.
Buffed up!: Worth 200 rating points. Have 4 buffs placed on you at the same time
Extremely Buffed Up!!: Worth 300 rating points. Have 5 buffs on you at the same time.

Oh yea, and these can only be obtained if no one leaves the game and it's a random PvP match. Some cheevos are upgradeable such as the "buffed up" and "clutch kill" cheevos

Bionic Bear -> RE: Hidden Achievements (8/25/2013 19:25:46)

People could just challenge a low level buddy and earn some of these achievements easily. Provided that this did not count, supported. A little bit of incentive for the people with, say, 7 stars or a blue star.

Predator9657 -> RE: Hidden Achievements (8/25/2013 19:38:58)

^ I think you missed this bit:

Bionic Bear -> RE: Hidden Achievements (8/25/2013 19:42:54)

Oop, that's my bad then. Fully supported in that case, Dual Thrusters.

Dual Thrusters -> RE: Hidden Achievements (8/25/2013 23:27:10)

I would like these, being actual achievements that are obtained by completing a task.

@Bionic Bear

That was Predator, not me lol.

CN2025 -> RE: Hidden Achievements (8/26/2013 3:45:21)

support but they wont be hidden for long because epicduel wiki identifies these hidden goodies and show them to the community

Sesura -> RE: Hidden Achievements (8/26/2013 4:45:51)

This would be a good perception increasing the PvP rate of peeps. I support this.

They could be specially implemented so that the wiki, and everyone else who wasn't a staff member would not know this existed until someone actually got it. All the devs would say in the patch notes would be something like "5 hidden achievements have been added," and it would be up to the players to find it first before it's publicly released.

And if anyone was wondering, it is actually possible to have 5 buffs active on a person at a single time...
Reflex boost + technician + energy shield + defense matrix + armored roots

Nightwraith -> RE: Hidden Achievements (8/26/2013 17:33:01)

We actually have something like this planned for the achievement overhaul. We would then have to organize achievements into categories like Badges, Mission Achievements, War Achievements, etc... I don't know when it will happen exactly, but it's planned for the near future.

Chosen 0ne -> RE: Hidden Achievements (8/26/2013 19:06:13)

Yay, a Nightwraith posted![sm=zorb_smilie.gif]

As far as I know the devs have been planning this ever since they made the achievement button.

Support.

A response from a developer carries a lot of weight. If I say, "That sounds like a good idea," Many players will interpret that as a promise to develop that feature as quickly as possible.

Just so people dont go crazy over what Nightwraith said. Quote taken from here.

Exploding Penguin -> RE: Hidden Achievements (8/26/2013 23:52:59)

I was bored and had other things to spend my time on so I honestly don't know what I'm doing still posting on this thread, but here are some more ideas just for the heck of it:

Keen Eye: 200 rating points. Launch sidearm/auxiliary attacks without getting deflected 50 times in a row (basically you cannot get deflected for 50 of your ranged attacks in a row).
Mission Master (insert date here): 500 rating points. Complete every single mission up to a certain date. Can be updated/replaced/upgraded.
Capped Luck: 100 rating points. Enter a fight where you have the max critical, block, or deflection rate against at least one of the opponents.
Taunting Will: 100 rating points. Use azrael's will on the turn the target rages, then block that rage attack.
Traitorous Kills: 100 rating points. Kill 50 opponents of the same alignment as your exile/legion strike core using that core.
Rooted Will: 100 rating points. Negate Azrael's will by having armored roots in effect when the opponent uses the core on you
Double Kill: 125 rating points. Kill both enemies in a single turn.
Pacifist: 200 rating points. Delay an opponent's rage for 3 turns (the opponent has rage and you use rage-removing skills to delay it for 3 more turns).
Tanking Fun: 150 rating points. In a single fight, have all non-rage, non-poison, non-critical enemy attacks do 3 damage and win.
Infinite Fighting: 250 rating points. Win a fight against an enemy who is the same level or higher with the fight being 30 rounds or longer.
Updated Devotion: 100 rating points. Be one of the first 5 people to log on when a new update/patch is released.
24 Hour Champion: 750 rating points. Maintain first place on a daily leaderboard for at least 23.000...1 hours.
72-hour Champion: 500 rating points. Maintain placement on a daily leaderboard nonstop for 72 hours in a row.
Meet the Mods!: 150 rating points. Click on every single existing moderator in-game who's logged on in the last week.
Shopping Rush: 150 rating points. On an LSQ item (Limited-sale quantity), be the one to purchase the last item in stock (If there's one left, buy it).
Rapid Rage: 300 rating points. Have rage after only using one attack (yes, this is actually possible with the power of adrenaline).

Warmaker04 -> RE: Hidden Achievements (8/27/2013 3:43:10)

Exploding Penguin, Rapid Rage, i had 180 support, maximum adrenaline, and still i cant get after the first attack rage........ and how about the other classes? This should be 1000 rating points instead 300, or more :). But i agree with all others. It sounds cool, and challenging but rapid rage is just impossible for other classes. even the mercenary cant get it every time

Predator9657 -> RE: Hidden Achievements (8/27/2013 10:33:37)

@ Penguin. Let's have hidden cheevo's which are not almost impossible to attain.

Exploding Penguin -> RE: Hidden Achievements (8/27/2013 12:08:07)

Rapid Rage is actually possible, as I said. I've gotten rage from only one attack 3 times before in Omega.

You must have high adrenaline, high blood commander, max berzerker, and pretty much strength/support in everything else. If you get your zerker blocked by someone with low support who is particularly tanky after buffing your damage, you will actually get 1-turn rage. It's not almost impossible as it can be done with any set of weapons on a perfectly usable build in 1v1 that provides a decent win ratio.

Mother1 -> RE: Hidden Achievements (8/27/2013 12:34:03)

@ exploding

I have never seen this done myself with the exception of when chairman's fury had a bug that would give you rage in one turn after you had rage then used the uppercut. Could you post a video of this please if you have one? Cause in all honestly I like many others have a hard time believing this one.

Exploding Penguin -> RE: Hidden Achievements (8/27/2013 14:04:56)

So to clarify 1 attack doesn't mean 1 move. You can be buffed before by whatever moves.

And I wish I could fulfill your request but I don't think I can because I rarely get on anymore due to school starting and other similar things. I'll try if I ever get on and have the recording software on me, but it doesn't look very likely, especially since there has to be very special circumstances (the opponent must be extremely tanky, I have to be a merc which I just switched out of, and they must block zerker).

Dual Thrusters -> RE: Hidden Achievements (8/27/2013 19:44:28)

In short, you have to be a certain class.

Exploding Penguin -> RE: Hidden Achievements (8/28/2013 12:01:50)

Without a doubt, you do have to be merc to get rage after one attack. But all the other classes have their own perks like this too so it's definitely possible to make other hidden cheevos just for those other 5 classes.

As far as I'm aware of, only EMP grenade can do this:
quote:

Energy Harassment: Worth 125 rating points. Take away all of an opponent's energy when it's at max with one move (basically if they have their max energy, for example, 62, you must take away 62 energy in one move).

I doubt even strength abuse on max atom/static smash could remove such large amounts of energy.
